Condolences to the Etzebeth family.

This can go one of two ways, either Eben returns home to be with the family at the funeral or else he plays this one and dedicates it to his father.

I think the latter is unlikely but if he does play, he'll be very fired up . . . even more than usual!

Tough call either way, if he was my boy, I would want him to play but understand completely  if he chooses not to, nothing more important than family in the end it's all you have.

Condolences to the Etzebert family.

May Eben make the best call on returning home or playing.

What a difficult and emotional situation to be caught up in.

Eben all rugby supporters will support you in your call.

RIP Mr Etzebeth.

He's captain to boot...I'll think he'll play...otherwise he would have been on his way home already...the funeral can be pushed forward for a week.

Devastating to lose a father. But death is one great certainty for us all.

Condolences to the gamily.

Yes I think he will play. He is that sort of a guy, as tough as nails.

Great to hear that he decided to put his grief towards playing the ABs. Hopefully this would be added motivation by the team to come out and play.

The boks play much better when they are emotionally motivated. A bok team filled with emotion is very hard to play.

Probably why the boks like being labelled the underdogs and when they are on top why they don't do so well.

I can't speak for Eben or his dad, but what an opportunity as a rugby player to play against the boks and dedicate it to your passing father. Especially if you had a great relationship
