I expect they don't compete for the same spot. Jan Andre is a nr 5 linout lock where Etzebeth is an enforcer type lock. Jan Andre will compete against the likes of Juandre kruger and Andries Bekker. However nothing comes close to the phenomenon that is Etzebeth at this stage.

Dave how good is Quinton Roux? Why is he not in the picture one wonders.
Both Etzebeth and Marais can play 4 or 5. Marais is up there size wise, 1.98m and 118kg. When I saw Etzebeth for the Bok U20's last year I knew he would be a huge hit for the future. It was the way he ran with ball in hand that impressed me, we have yet to see that in him at S15 level, wait till he gets the confidence to start going on the charge. For now he just wants to stick to the basics and cement his spot in the Stormers side, which he is more than doing.
Beeno I keep reading that its only a matter of time before Quin Roux plays S15. Not sure what Coetzee is waiting for given how average de Kock Steenkamp is. Roux is the kind of lock you will love. He is huge at 1.98m and 125kg's and only 21
