The results thus  far has been as follows:-
Toulon 15  -  Sale Sharks   5Saracens 44  -  Scarlets     26Castres   41  -   Northampton  7Clermont  49 -  Bordeaux  33Munster   38  _  Glasgo  17
Toulon struggled against Sale Sharks.   Vermeulen was their captain - but he clearly was not really matchfit and his main contribution was getting a yellow card.    He was left out of the EOYT squad because of the admission by him that he is not fully matchfit for selection on international level.
Saracens has been doing well thus far.
Northampton lost badly after beating Montpellier last week - so there s a serious question mark about the real strength of Montpellier in the said competition.   Montpellier is facing   Leinster tomorrow and I think there is n chance of them winning that game.    After all Leinster easily beat Castres last week.

Brycy

Thanks I have seen the list.

Now lets compare that lot with Super 15.   Now lets imagine those 20 teams being in the same comp as the Super 15 teams and on the same log - ie one with 35 teams and the result at the end will be -

Positions 1 to 15  - Super Rugby sidesPositons 20 to 35 - European Cup sides
Says a lot about fitness levels an d the level of the game in England in particular and Europe in general.

...Leinster and Scarlets would be in the top 10 i think.... they have the core of the Irish and Welsh national teams...those are the NH teams i like to watch and am also interested in the development of former Crustifarian Johnny McNichol playing for Scarlets and set to qualify to play for Wales in 2019 , and former Chief starring for Leinster James Lowe qualifing for Ireland in 2020..

Oh wait. We have seen that already. Ou Sopdoos has already deducted that the imaginary results of his imaginary competition has proven that the fitness levels and the level of the game in the S15 is far superior to that of the European sides.

Listen dim c u n t -  you are always on about how strong the European Club sides are - but when a lot of them had to play the Cheetahs - a team chucked out of Super Rugby as too weak and after losing a lot of players - they had plenty wins against the Guinness 14 teams and ended up in the semi.

It is also amazing - the way the English teams started in the last two tests and then fizzled out.   The players are unfit and  fizzle out in games.

This is typical BS of the dimmest c u n t on this site.   I pointed out facts and to give an example - I said imagine the log - purely imaginary to give an example what would happen if the Champions Cup teams meet some real opposition.

The rugby standards up north is suspect and the unfitness of players when they come from NH clubs to play for the Springboks are classical.     Most of the past selections of Meyer proved it and Coetzee was no better.   Erasmus picked five and two never turned up because of mythical injuries that never happened.    They were probably afraid to come because they would disgrace themselves as unfit - like Fat Fransie was wh en he came off the bench in the last test he played in.   The three players he did use was good - but they were the exceptions - all Meyer's and Coetzee's picks were BS unfit players.

So go back into your asylum and try and see some real issues BSter.   You are second only to Mozart in putting lunatic messages on site.   Shrink time again for you.

I was waiting for your essay. And guess what? Exactly as I expected you tried to direct the attention away from the core issue, ie your ability to make your own assumptions based upon warped opinions and then using that as facts in subsequent arguments.

That was objective assessments by me based on factual situations.  Not the type of junk you always manage to post on site - dim one.

You may have expected what I would wri te above - but counter it fool by proving me wrong.

“That was objective assessments by me based on factual situations. Not the type of junk you always manage to post on site - dim one. ” Hahaha. What a farking joke. Do you really expect anybody to take you seriously? HTF do you arrive at the fact that the imaginary results of an imaginary competion could prove anything about the fitness levels or the level of play of any club/franchise or whatever. That is worse than saying that the Harry Potter movies have proven that you can fly a broomstick.

No dofdoos - my deductions are based on the following:-

*   The performance of he weakened Cheetahs team and them reaching the semi in one of Europe's top comps.

*    The performance of the English team in both tests thus far; and

*   The performance of their Under 20 team in the Under 20 WC when the English team was leading by 19 points and end up winning by 1 point.

I should expect what you write because you are equal to Mozart in rugby stupidity and lying and distortions.

Context, mate context. Non of the “facts” that you have mentioned bear any resemblance with the upcoming European Champions Cup. What’s more, you take issue with England winning the U20 RWC by one point while completely ignoring the fact that the final was between two European sides with two SH sides only fighting it out for the third spot. I addition, you base the rest of your argument on the poor current English side and then extrapolate it to reflect the European Champions Cup. And to top it all you use that to predict the outcome of some fantasy competition that will never take place. Then, to top it all, you bring the result of your fantasy competition back to reality. You are chasing your own tail, mate. Maybe you should lay off all those fantasy rugby you, are taking by part in, for a while.

Context - what context c u n t?   The facts listed by me is clear.   The English teams in both cases after 20 minutes went into decline.   So did the Under 20 team - even though they miraculously win the game by 1 point and went through to the final.   I never said they were not in the final - where the whole English house of cards collapsed in any event.

And one must look at what happened this year in the competition and see what is likely to happen next year.   The wonderful English club sides are contracting Cheetah players in droves and so does the Irish.   Wish Ulster will take Jantjies though.

Anyway a dim c u n t like you cannot make logical observations and come to logical conclusions.  If the situation is so bad it is reflected in the national team  - then what is it on lower levels of the game?

@Draad. I never take anything that he says seriously. It is impossible to take the fool seriously. He must be the only one in the world that do things the wrong way round. The normal guy makes assumptions from a set of facts. This clown make facts from assumptions. He assumes certain outcomes from a fictional competition and then use the outcome to prove his “facts”. And you are saying that I’m taking him seriously? Really?

What a useless brainless this windpomp is.   he does not recognize facts when it hits him in the face,   His messages is clearly delusional - and he cannot make any logical conclusion from facts.

The facts are -

*   England lost both the recent tests after they had big leads in both games - they were not competitive after 20 minutes anymore.

*   At least 10 of the Under 20 team players play for English clubs.   They had a huge lead against the SA juniors and they ended up with a 1 point win going through to the final.

*   The Cheetahs with a much poorer team than they had in Super Rugby in 2017 ended up in the semi after beating some of the above teams.

The above happened - but the dim c u n t claims it is "assumptions".   Only he can come up with that BS.

Based on what happened in the case of the Cheetahs and on test level it was an assumption made by me.   However, it is a logical assumption and in the odd games Super 15 teams played against NH sides they really showed that they are far better than the NH sides.

OK - lets get back to facts.  If the Clubs went on the rampage to sign Cheetah and other SA and BZ players - how strong are they really?

My problem with the English team was that they ran out of steam earlier than most other teams.   That indicates unfitness on their part.   I have not seen such a poor show in any international side for many years.

I was initially in 2012 upset by what happened when Fat Fransie came back from France in 2012.  He was in an atrocious physical condition.   Totally unfit and he  was so gross he could not see his feet when he looked down - resulting in two relieving kicks he was  supposed to make rolling on the ground within the Springboks 22.

Most players Meyer brought in from Europe was equally poor and unfit.  I remember in particular Steenkamp and Van der Merwe (the prop).   Then there was Fourie - he turned up in the Springbok camp in such a poor physical condition that he was send packing by even Meyer himself.

In summary I think in general the fitness levels of NH club players are not on par with what is expected from players in the SH and it seems that only a few players in fact try to keep the fitness level they reached while playing  in the SH intact playing for NH clubs.

Well Fat Fransie may not be able to see his feet because of his stomach.....but you can't see you stomach because of your tits. I'd rather have Fat Fransie's problem.
