I didn’t expect the boks to win this one. We were 7 points behind. I didn’t see any impact from Mostert at 7. He got yellow carded and some now the boks scored more points with him off the field.
On came Jean Luke and immediately had an impact on the game. Had some good ball carries and even won a penalty.

Roos and Jean Luke should get selected. They did more with less game time than both Tostert and Wiese

Not true Mozart, just watched the game this morning again. Jean Luc made two turn overs on the ground. I didn’t even realised that Mostert stayed on for the entire game. He had one run in the 2nd half and one line out take.
Jean Luc and Roos were hitting the rucks hard and help propel the boks towards two missed tries. Hard luck the ball got dislodged in Roos first attempt and the the 2nd one he scored, only for the try to be canceled for obstruction by Fourie. Which I believe was marginal call as the defender would never have touch Willemse.
Orie was the other one that just had no impact other than his one charge down which any player in his position would have done
Try this Corn …..watch only Mostert for a passage of play. You will see this guy constantly moving to the ball, doing plenty of things on his own….but also supporting other players at the breakdown and closing off running angles.
Mostert doesn’t position himself at first tackler/runner like Dud….he isn’t obviously straining to make an impact like the Deysel twin. But he makes plenty of contributions.
If you want to watch somebody who does nothing, watch Lomp.

The truth, however, is ….match after match this physical dominance you ascribe to Dud Toit, Lomp and others simply doesn’t show up in the numbers coaches rely on to make decisions.
Lood, Steph, and Damian. Three players lauded for physicality, yet found being dominated game after game. Three of the reasons why this is the least physically imposing Bok era of all time. A bit of a powder puff team.
Lood and Steph are not more physical. Especially Lood, he is driven backwards and sideways as a carrier and cannot defend. He is so immobile that he hardly ever latches on. Meyer had him flanked by defensive support in 2015, and even then, he let us down. But let's put on a big smile and be positive, because being a happy clappy is what being a real fan is all about. When they get stuffed, just tell yourself it didn't happen or that it was the work of a class act. Best in the game.

Let’s turn this around, what has Harrassmiss got right? Coetzee gifted him virtually his whole team….and the players Harrassmiss doesn’t use are players you are lobbying for ….Gelant, the Deysel twins, Wilco Louw.
The only difference is Coetzee’s last starters averaged 26.33 years.
The average age for our current ‘first team’ that played NZ was 30.33. Exactly 4 years older. That’s the legacy of Harrassmiss, an aged Coetzee team.
No I think good coaches are always introducing new talent and building the resources….a point you have frequently made.
He won a WC against Wales and a totally unfocused Pom team. Lucky. And frankly he played to our traditional strengths.
His record is now 26 and 18, absent the WC year…a 59% win ratio with the best talent pool in the game. Another point you have frequently made.
Any competent international coach, which doesn’t include Coetzee, could have produced that WC performance. It was no more convincing than our loss to a much stronger NZ team in 2015.

Once again…..losing to a better team and then facing Japan instead of Ireland has no merit. Harrassmiss’ whole record hinges on his draw against NZ in the RC in 2019 and beating two lack luster opponents in the WC.
He has never come close to winning a real RC, the abbreviated RCs in WC years are an afterthought.
A 59% win ratio, absent his lucky 2019 says it all. Not only a flop, but he has ridden the team into oblivion. We have to start from scratch next year.
Wales were injury ridden, and still would have beaten us were it not for Louw, who you didn't want in the team. Quite funny that.
England was a great match up. It was an easy final to call, and it went even better once England suffered the prop injury. Beast really lifted the Boks.
The two campaigns cannot ever be compared. I'd rate the 2019 schedule the easiest any finals team has ever had. As easy as it was, the Boks were not very convincing until the final itself! Something to consider. The Boks of 2007 were very impressive against teams who really gave a good account of themselves.
I have done so about a dozen times already. I'm quite bored of having to revisit the same facts over and over again. Stop being a lazy arse and listen the first time and stop constantly asking the same questions as if asking repeatedly somehow makes reality disappear or change!
