So in a Rugby 24 numbers assessment of Coetzee vs Rassie we find this: Win percentage Erasmus 2018: 50% Coetzee 2017: 53.8% Coetzee 2016: 33.3% Technically right. But two of Coetzee's matches ended in draws last year. So he won 7/lost 4/drew 2. But he might as well have lost those two draws it wouldn't have affected the Rugby 24 numbers. To me the fairest way of dealing with this is to eliminate the draws. So Coetzee won 7 of 11 decided games or 63.6%. It paints a fairer picture, but isn't even mentioned in the article.....bent news.

2 draws should be considered as one win, and one loss. (All things being equal)

8 wins from 13 which is 61%.

A better solution, agreed. Eliminating drawn games tends to exaggerate the win or loss component.

Fact i s the Boks are playing much better. We can honestly say they are losing matches they should have won. No more bad loses.

Mozart was thrown  lifeline here.   In 2012 and 2016  the Springboks played in 12 tests and in 2018 14 tests.  At least four of those tests were used by Erasmus  to experiment with tam selection to try and get a workable squad together. 

But the statistics abuser used the 2017 tests as an example of Coetzee's better performance - fact is Coetzee was in the second year of coaching.

After the mess left behind by Meyer and Coetzee Erasmus in his first year as a coach was forced into experimenting to try and get a proper squad together.   The extra tw o tests gave him an opportunity for that as well.

Don't expect any realism from our serial BSters on site.

We measure against 2017, because that was the status quo when Rassie took over. We are not trying to prove Rassie is better or worse than Coetzee.....Coetzee is history. We are trying to assess whether Rassie is improving things significantly enough to give us a shot at the WC. The jury is still out.

Watching Mike think is like trying to watch a sloth make a hasty getaway in slow motion. 

He won't budge from this idea that we cannot compare 2017 with 2018. Totally devoid of logic.

You still persist with the AO BS because it proves that both of you are indeed misleading the site members and abusing  stats to prove something.

It is no use to discuss anything with you two.  Constant misrepresentations  by the two of you on flimsy basis on which the two of you have expertise in,  

AO has been asked repeatedly  how many players in the starting line-up played  by Erasmus has had more than 2 matches under Coetzee in 2017 and even that basic info the BS would not provide.   Even that is not relevant.

Both of you have you got the stats of Erasmus in year 2 of Erasmus as coach?   If you have then by all means compare the 2017 year with 2019.   However, that would be meaningless, since 2019 is a WC year and you two statistic abusers would only be able to compare that year with Meyer's BS of 2015.
