Fantasy Foxsport Selections

With just one game to go - Sasue still leads me by 6 points.   In that final game he has Fourie as Captain, De Jager and Labuschagne.    I have Bekker, Strauss and Labushagne.   If Fourie scores big and De Jager does reasonably well- he will still be leading the race.  If Bekker and  Strauss do better than Fpurie and has more points than Fourie as captain and De Jager does not perform - I may just pip him in the race this week.   Interesting match to watch for the two of us in particular.

Oimatey is at present in position 3 - 75 points behind me.  He only has De Jager and Labuschagne  to play for him in the final game.  and it is unlikely that the gap will be smaller at the end of this weekend.   Interesting for him to watch too.

Why - o why did I decide on Gear as my Captain - he was a bad failure - but Conrad Smith was not much better.

Ou Maaik, based on Ardie Savea's performance today in his S15 debut, I think we're both going to be losing a lot of ground to Sasuke and anyone else who has both Saveas in his team.

No more "opposition-based" selections for me. My strategy in the FoxSport comp so far has been to pick players who are playing against the Kings. That's why I made Henry Speight my captain this weekend rather than Julian Savea. No more! The Kings have been a revelation and from now on I'm picking the best players, regardless of who they're playing against!

I am going to lose ground today - about 25 points I gather.  I made a serious mistake by bringing Matt Todd in based of his performance against the Stormers.  I think I must get rid of Todd and go for Savea.   My next move is to get rid of Conrad Smith - he is too big a defensive liabiity.   May go for Richard Kahui of the Chiefs in his place.    The next one on my disposal list is definitely Sam Whitelock,   with the objective to get Etzebeth on Board asap. The back up lock can ultimately be Du Toit. Over the next two weeks I also have to cater for a change at scrummy and hope to bring Genia on board.

All the above changes will depend on the money available as well as the weekly team selections.
