Sasue

I tried to join a Head - to - Head league and was apparently allowed to do that  because I got the following message under Fox 6968 :-"Players to be added after the next Points update"

Originally they did indicate a number of such leagues - but I did not know what the name of your league is so I could provide no real choice - that apparently lead to me beinh included under the under the Foxsport 6989 league.

Any comments please.

As to the points table I noticed that your point allocation was very low.   Permit me to ask  questionif you don't mind.   Did you confine your selections to teams active in Round 1 or did you concentrate on selecting players from all teams playing in the competition?

If you did the latter - you may have saved youraselves some headaches in making changes to teams in view of the limit of a maximum of 6 changes after each round.   There is quite a number of players I have to phase out/replace, but is in a jam at thisstage trying to affect the changes - and arriving at my ideal team culd take many rounds of team changes and injuries to players are borne in mind.

Sorry if I said something that upset you - am just curious

Ou Maaik, there are several different types of Leagues you can join. We are all in a "Classic League" called "saru.com league". A Classic League is just a normal type of league where your position on the table depends on your overall score.

"Global Leagues" are just like Classic Leagues except the members of those leagues are based on who you support etc. For example, if you indicated that you are a Sharks supporter, you will automatically be in the Global League called "Sharks".

The "Head-to-Head League" is different. Every round, you get drawn against one of the other members of your Head-to-Head league on a round-robin basis and you score points depending on your performance against that person, 4 points for a win and 2 points for a draw. For example, this round we only had 4 players in the "sarugby.com head to head" league. I was drawn against a team called "Ultimte Team" and Sasuke was drawn against DbDraad. I beat Ultimte team this round while Sasuke beat DbDraad, so Sasuke and I both have 4 points. Next round, I will be drawn against Sasuke or DbDraad (unless we get more players entering the pool) and we'll play off against each other again . . . and then we'll be drawn against the next person we haven't yet played until we've been drawn against everyone and we start again.

You should be able to enter the "sarugby.com head to head" league shown on the right hand side. Once you enter, you'll be on zero points (because you missed round 1) and we'll be 5 players. When there are an odd number of players, one person will always be drawn against what they call "Mr Average" which is the average score of all global players for that round.

If it still doesn't make sense, just join anyway and you'll soon see how it works.

@mikey,
when it comes to the techinical aspects of leagues and the preresquites needed before joining them, jalapeno might be the man to answer ur questions, i had no idea that was the case, LMAO, :oD

but here is the code to join the head to head league - 3671-4185

remember u can look at anyones teams and sharbok did indeed select players from all over, putting him in good steed when it comes to transfers and his selection policies, but as u can see by the ladder, not without a paying a heavy price.

Ou Maaik, you click on the name of the league . . . in this case, "saru.com league" (on the right hand side of the page in blue) and that will bring up a page with all the names of the teams in that league (also in blue). Just click on the name of the person whose team you want to see.

Note that you can only see a person's current team as it was when the round kicked off. If I make a whole bunch of transfers now, you won't see them, you'll only see my transfers once the next round has started.

It's the same in the testrugby. com competition. You can see anyone's team as it was at the start of the last round.

@mikey,

lets hope ur picks mirror ur computer opreation nous, LMAO, :oP

BTW i just wanted to say that should u choose to join the head to head league, even if u do start with one loss, it shouldnt hinder ur progress too much as there are also 2 already with a loss.

unlike the league, the points ur team earns is only relative if u are tied with someone else, and by the time the comp is finished, im sure there will be a clear winner, so i hope u do join.
