Sasue

I have some question to ask from you and Jalap.   I do not understand how the rating system of Foxsport really works.   For instance - take the cases of Lambie and Cooper.   Lambie outplayed Copper in all aspects of the game - yet he is rated lower than Cooper.   By the way there was not really any scrummie that scored well in Round 2 - what are they looking for in a scrummie?

Can one of you provide infor for me as to how they rate players please.   I understand the rating system of Test Rugby - but the Foxsport one is not clear at all.

In the meantime the ratings for Round 2 is not complete - but by all accounts I am still the best performer in our league - braggingg rights are still in my favour.   Really I am a star selector.

However, I am now in a mess - I have to replace a lot of players - especially under-performers and the players from the Brumbies who have a bye in the next round.   I notice that only four transfer is allowed in respect of Round 3 and is really getting myself in a real mess if I am only allowed 4 changes.   How can I buy more changes?

@mikey,

hope u had a good weekend, ive been looking forward to hitting the bloggng scene after a super hot melbourne weekend which i spent at the beach and pub, lolz.

anyways i wnated to address some of ur comments and while im at it u might want to put on ur shark tinted glasses down, LMAO, :oP

"Lambie outplayed Copper in all aspects of the game - yet he is rated lower than Cooper."
"Can one of you provide infor for me as to how they rate players please.   I understand the rating system of Test Rugby - but the Foxsport one is not clear at all."

the simple reason that cooper outscored lambie is cos despite ur comments, lambie did not outplay cooper in all aspects.
below are stats from ESPN as to how last weekends rugby performance between cooper and lambie went,,,

Pos   T/A Pts K/P/R MR CB DB OL TO Tack LO Pen Y/R FH Cooper 0/1 0 6/31/15 28 1 4 5 1 4/1 1/0 0 0/0

Pos   T/A Pts K/P/R MR CB DB OL TO Tack LO Pen Y/R FH Lambie 0/0 19 13/16/7 40 0 0 0 0 4/0 0/0 0 0/0

lambie played a very a good game and for lack of a better term, it was a very saffa stereotype flyhalf, meaning he kicked more then he attaced.
foxsport fantasy rewards attacking rugby big time, so players that make more runs, line breaks, offloads, tacklebreaks create trys, etc will be rewarded a lot more then those who dont.
i dont think the sports data which foxsport uses is entirely accurate though, but as u can see by ESPN, cooper ran more times with the ball, he also had 1 line break, 4 tackle breaks and 5 offloads to lambies zero.
thats the crux of why cooper outrated lambie.

"By the way there was not really any scrummie that scored well in Round 2 - what are they looking for in a scrummie?  "
scrummie is the worst position in all of foxsport to get someone who consistently makes the mark. hougaard at the moment has only scored 1 or 2 points, but he is the most reliable halhback i have encountered since playing fantasy rugby, andy ellis is not too bad either, but everyone else was a bit of a lolie scramble.

"I notice that only four transfer is allowed in respect of Round 3 and is really getting myself in a real mess if I am only allowed 4 changes.   How can I buy more changes?"
u cant buy transfers like u can in testrugby, nor would u want too IMO, lolz, but i wonder how much those transfers cost, if its something like 10-20 bucks then why not, other wise nahh.
thats the primary reason for the bench IMO and clever mangement skills, :o)
u do have a wildcard BTW, when u activate it, it will give u unlimited transfers for one round, but i wouldnt recommend it, especially when u look at the rounds before and after the june test sereis.
in saying that, i have been consdiering using my wildcard this week too, lolz, :oP

congrats to another week at the top too, lolz, i stumbled big time this week, but am looking to make amends, :o)

Thanks for your comments.   Despite what you said I still think that on the whole Lambie was the best flyhalf on display in round 2 from a general perspective.   I am going to keep him as my captain in Round 3.  Interestingly enough - Test Rugby gave him very high points in their assessment   Looking at the Foxport basis I think I may have to change my mind about Francois Steyn - may even drop O'Connor or move him to the bench.

 I am in a quandary about the Brumby and Kings byes in Round 3.  I can keep some Brumbie players in Round 2 on the bench  and want to bring in Ben Smith as OB next time.   For price reasons will have to sacrifice Retallick to do that - but it depends who are in the starting line-ups.   Think I will also keep Reinach as scrummie and Jordaan as center.   O'Connor was injured and may have to be on the bench this coming weekend.   The other player I am going to keep is Strauss as hooker.

Was impressed with what I saw of the Cheetahs and the game against the Chiefs would be interesting as well.  I think the Chiefs will beat them - but the size of the victory will be interesting.

I was not really impressed by Folau and even less so by Cruden and Barrett.   What do you think about the18  year old who played at wing for the Kings - Pietersen?   To my mind he is a must for the Under 20WC and am  sure he is going to develop further.

I do not believe in media hype in respect of player selection and Folau is a case in point.    I think the Reds realized a potential threat and just took appropriate action to neutralize him.   Will keep an eye on him for the future though.

Incidentally I moved up from being 8th in the Test Rugby competetion in our Division  to 4 and am going for a further improvement in Round 3.  Am learning fast - am I not?  LOL

Thanks for your congratulations - I am very happy to be the top braggart around LOL

@mikey,

each to their own, but i rate coopers performance higher, :o)

i have taken folau out of both my teams, he was very disappointing. i will also keep bieber in my foxsport team, but he is gone from testrugby team, though i may have to hold of and see how many transfers i will have available, cos there are many brumby and higlander players i need to get rid of first and then next week theres the force, o_O

BTW i thought u would have changed ur mind on retallick??? i couldnt help noticing he scored very well for u in test rugby.com, even better then bekker who scored a try, lolz, :oP
