hi guys,

trying to recruit a few guys here to testrugby to play in the upcoming 2014 5 nats.

this is a great opportunity especially for fantasy rugby veterans like wardad, cloudy, just win and hakwa to try a fantasy rugby site which differs from the foxsprt site we all know and love.
there is some pretty big differences though, which u can see for urself and i will post in the reply comment laters, :o)

this drive isnt exclusive to those i jusy mentioned BTW, any and all are welcome to try their hand out in some really addictive select ur own teams and battle it out warfare.

anyway plenty of folks here know there way around testrugby, so feel free to ask any questions or for any tips.

its a blessing in disguise to have it start of with the 6nats, as newbies can familiarise themselves with the ins and outs before the real fantasy rugby begins with the spXV, :o)

anyways, once u register, the division us sarugby.com peeps play in is called
StupidZone

and the password is
SZ (im 100% sure now, lolz, )

hope u guys register and try it out, am a big fan of testrugby and it gets the uchiha clan seal of approval, :o)

Good luck getting the likes of Saffex and Moffie to join. These okes like to pretend they know their S15 players but every year they get asked to play in FR and every year they chicken out. 
Their weak excuse is always the same as well . . . "I don't have the time" is what they always say which is pretty laughable when you consider that the amount of time it takes to maintain a FR team each week is less than the time to post just one of their long-winded comments on here. It's a joke. 
Truth is, they're both just . . . plain . . . chicken! B aboon-ou as well.

I hope Saffex and Mozart join up - but doubt whether they actually will.  The problem is that both have skewed player assessment ability and will end up bottom of the members list and lose interest.

I checked the Test Rugby site and could not find Super 15 2014 yet.   I may be wrong - please advise.  The 6 Nations are up and running though.

and fantasy rugby is obviously just not some peoples cup of tea, i do think that if they gave it a try, they would be pleasantly surprised at how fun and addictive fantasy rugby is.

@mikey,
i doubt that foxpsort will have a 6nat fantasy series as they havent in the past.

if u are referring to spXV, then i cant imagine it being too far away, yaaaaay, :o)

@madame vice prez,

hi buddy, dont look at this fantasy comp so much about u trying to go all the way in 6nats, but more u trying to figure out the ins and outs of this different fantasy rugby format, a view IMO that any newbies who are interested in joining up with testrugby,com (link to thread in original post above) should be taking.

i found that i lost a few precious weeks targeting wrong players etc, but once the ball got rolling, it was sweet as, :o)

no biggie if u dont join, but it is loads of fun and if u have any questions, im always here and im sure if others will help out too if able.

for ur selection issues u can ask folks for their opinions on some players, or just read what they have to say on some of the threads like the exchange between rooy and i here on the dussatoir thread to help u get a few ideas on some players etc.

also, on the week before the 6nation rounds, i always have a thread which has all the teams named.
this is a one  stop shop for all ur fantasy selection needs, :o)

anyways, hope u do play, :o)

We don't get all the games on Sky and I don't pay particular attention to games that do not involve a SA side......so doubt I would be any good at it

As with Saffex I am in the UK, and Sky does not show all games. 
Plus I must say I do not want to watch all the games. For example I have no interest in watching the Western Force play the Rebels. 
It seems to be about buying players that are worth more than their current market value, and then cashing in on them when they out perform expectations.
Like it is about identifying good talent especially in the basement teams that have good stats and out perform their market value. 
Not so much about choosing the best team, but being able to buy and sell players like a baseball coach. 
It seems like if you choose an excellent player like Dan Carter and he does not perform stats wise you lose points big time, so you end of choosing a team of players that you don't really want. 

Although I could be wrong. Also choosing SA players are often undervalued so if they have good stats it can be a good chance to get easy points.

 I can see that there are 3 different threads about fantasy rugby, an indication of people's growing interest. That's good, I find the fantasy rugby really entertaining and that contributes to the knowing of rugby so the more people play the better.

I've been playing the 6N testrugby fantasy for 2 years and there's one thing I think everybody should know before choosing his/her team. During these 2 years there have been 2 outstanding players in terms of fantasy points:
- Sergio Parisse. His points rate per match is around 400, 100 or more points above the next backrow.
- Leigh Halfpenny. He average also around 400 points per match, is the only outside back who kicks which gives a lot of points.
This doesn't mean that they are going to necesarily perform in the same way but is very probably that they'll do . I would build my team around them and I will do it

thats great info to know bro, and no kidding, i had both in my team alreadyz, partnered with yuget and piccomoles respectively, 4 mean peeps right there, lolz, :oP

check out the foxsport thread and which has all the details to sign up for the classic and head to head leagues, :o)

will be great to see abs.com champion go up against sarugby.com champion sir oimatey, clash of the titans right there, :o)

 The excuse that they cannot watch all games is very thin ot os very easy to determine which players are performing by merely looking at for instance ESPN scrum to het am idea who is performing and who not.   After a week you can check the scores as well and see where you can improve.


I think in fact not all participants watch all the games and that fact does not deter then from participating.

Well at least Moz & Beeno participated in the picks I ran last year. Moz did ok from what I remember.
