First of all - congratulations to oi-matey who had the top score of 338 points and proceeded to the next round in the Cup competition.

Howeer It was not a good week for all of us and I think the starting point was with the Anscombe issue and his inclusion in the Chiefs team and subsequent withdrawal because of injury.   Thereafter - most of our standout choices did less than they produced the week before.

The relatively poor performances resulted in a dramatic drop in the points scored by the following participants:-

                                         Round 12                  Rund 13

Oi-matey                               439                             338

Sasue                                   428                             290

Myself                                   459                             335

Rooinek                                370                             343

On the Test Rugby Side the tendency was the same - but somehow or other Capone got knowledge of the Ascombe issue and was not as badly affected as the rest of us.   We also made some bad choices and that cost us dearly as well.   And some of the previous weeks top performers went bad this week.

I think in essence we thought that the Chiefs would beat the Western Force by a mile and that the Highlandrs would easily beat the Kings - how wrong can we be.

Time for some changes are inevitable.   Luckily enough it is likely that Labuschagne will be back this week and that one can get rid of the worst of the lossies this coming week.   However, the outomes of some games this week is unoredictable and the injury to O'Connor will be a major problem for all of us.

CM - someone posted on the board before the game that Anscombe was out, and CleanCut (Capone I assume) responded with thanks and that he had made the switch.

Agree on the misread of the Chiefs and Force games. I think the Chiefs are in serious trouble - their defense has been poor all comp and now with Horrell, Anscombe and TNW out their backline is looking suspect. Cruden continues to struggle with niggles every week - if he was to go down I think they would be fortunate to make the playoffs.
