I have just dealt with one issue in selections for the Test Rugby forum and in the process came up with the future Springbok center combination - I picked De Allende and Jordaan as my centers for the Round 2 matches.

the selections between the two fantasy rugby sites differs freatly betyween the two, because testrugby and fozsport class certain players in differnt categories. like bieber is an outsdie back on testrugby but a center in foxsport.
makes selections between the two very differnt which IMO is good.

one thing to keep in mind is when de jong returns, u will almost be guarnteed to have to transfer de allende out of ur team, while ur feelings on de jong are well documented, coetzees feelings on de jong are also well known and they differ from urs big tine, lolz, :oP

if i do pick any backs from the stormers, its going to be aplon, habana or one of the flyhalves, stormers havent convinced me that they know hiow to attack yet and if their attack even improves by 50%, the chances are great that that they still wont do fudge all with it.

i do like jordaan though and on foxsport i am torn between wether to play him or not given the other options available.

will keep an eye out on allende, but for now hes not in any of my long term pictures.

Mike in your case please stick to fantasy rugby. This is a lot better than your daily  assassinations  of de Jongh after he outplayed Jordaan, handed off your other favourite Coetzee and won the CC.

Whether it is fantasy rugby or not - De Jongh is one of the worst selections ever as a center - he is certainly never ever a top selection for the Stormers as a center and will fade out of the team before the end of this season.

De Jongh that never made a line break in two years - who cannot attack without being tackled back - who cost WP two penalties in the CC final - but scored the first try in CC for more than a year - and suddenly you shouted support for him to be selected and then was the worst center ever to represent SA in two tests   Him beating Jordaan is apparently in your dreams - since you cannot ever stand a younger player and you then go ballistic to censure them - what a farce.   Still fantasizing about how good De Jongh is?

Let me explain something - the norm to allocate points in fantasy rugby is extremely comprehensive and covers every aspect of play a player can be involved be on the field of play.   I will rub your nose in that next week when the points are out - and then we can discuss the matter further.

In any event - what are you doing in reading this thread - after your arlier boring comments on the issue?

Sasuke, you mark my words, Moffie is going to be bleating about Fantasy Rugby and stamping his little foot in indignation on these Fantasy Rugby threads for the duration of the Super Rugby season.

You see, the effeminate old bag of wind has a bit of a problem in that he hates to see other people enjoying the Fantasy competition and he's too much of a coward to enter himself . . . so he'll be doing his best to run down the Fantasy competition and he'll be trying to portray us Fantasy managers as lifeless losers who know nothing about real rugby.

I've seen this same sad story unfold many times before. He promised to avoid the "kiddie stuff" as he called it and here is crawling all over the first Fantasy Rugby thread since then. Wehe!

Sasue

I think that you may be wrong in this case.   I think that De Jongh is on the way out insofar as the Stormers and WP is concerned - he is just not good enough to play on provincial and franchise level.   De Allende is in any event the future 12 of the Stormers.

I think that he will play for the Stormers in most matches in Super 15 and may be used at 12 regularly - because the Stormers realize that De Villiers is not getting any younger and they will use him sparingly and more likely at 13 than at 12.   However, the Stormers wants a rotation policy and I believe other teams will do the same - that complicates fantasy selection - but is a fact of life.

I think that De Allende will play more games in Super 15  than either of the other two mentioned this year  So I may be not in as much trouble as you imagine in this case.

Nice and cheap though and I had to find a cheap player somewhere and could not think of a better choice in this case.

In any event he will surprise you - and I am sure he may turn out to be your next Doppies La Grange.  LOL.

Keagan

I think the future center group of the Springboks will be based on the three players mentioned -namely Serfontein, De Allende and Jordaan - but I think Serfontein is a bit on the young side to be played regularly by the Bulls this year - he will probably gt some game time from the bench - but not as a starter as yet - he is only 19 years of age.   I will definitely punt for him next year - but not as yet this year.

@mikey,

going by what alister coetzee was saying in an interview, i would be very surprised if de jong isnt thrown straight back into the stormers starting lineup, but we can only wait and see.

BTW i didnt just pick doppies la grange randomly, i picked him becasue i noticed back in 2010 or 2009 about 5 rounds into the system, the rugby show as showcasing the stats in the comp and the firss thing i noticed was doppies la grange was in the top 4 for everything good, most meters made, most linebreaks, most tackle breaks, most offloads, most try assists. he didnt top any of those lists, bnut he was the only player to be in the top 4 of the all. his selection in my team was easy after that and i reaped the rewards straight away.

still early days where allende is concerend IMO, but i do have him on my watchlist and will see what happens from here on out, but givne hes in the worst attacking team in the comp, my expectations are very low.

Guys, in the FS game, how do you get your bench players on the field? I tried a couple of things, but every-time I pick one of them, they go into their initial bench place. I'm sure its operator error, but I don't want to try out too many things, as I don't want to waste any transfers.

Ddraad

Had the same problem.   My suggestion is that you must cancel first all transfers made - since you may have maade transfers which would in fat not represent transfers at all.

Then go the My Team programme and pressed your mouse on the bench player you want to move to the starting line up.   Move the player by that means to the player you want to replace and the two players will automtically switch sites.   Once you have moved all the players you want to confirm the change.

When you go to the trasnfer site you will notice that it contains still the players as was before you made the changes mentioned in the pevious paragraph - but that is in fact not the team you will have on site.   I wanted to ring into th team Habana, Coetsee and Lambie - so that took care of three of my 6 transfers.  The other three was to get new people on the bench

Draadtrekker, first off, check that you are on the "My Team" page and not the "Transfers" page.

Once you're on the "My Team" page (in other words, the page where you pick your starting XV for the upcoming round) then moving players on and off the bench is simple. You can either just drag and drop or else you can just click on the little white right-arrow under the player's name. When you click that, you should see the right-arrow turn into a red cross and at the same time, any players eligible to replace that player are highlighted in orange and you just have to click on the right-arrow under that player's name to complete the substitution.

Dragging and dropping is much simpler. Just drag players from the bench to the field (or vice-versa) and drop them on the player you want to switch.
