Well … here’s the promised episode of this year’s Fantasy Rugby.
We’re down to the quarters, so to speak, leaving us with 6
teams to rack up last minute points and this over the next three weekends.
Sadly Sleeping Giants gave away a brilliant fight back to
some lucky picks by The Pouting Lightringers. From a mere 320 point lead ... it’s now jumped to
990 point over the last two weeks. All this happened while I was away on a
weeks vacation.
Just kidding.
Truth be told, a lead like this is substantial, especially
at this late stage of the race where most teams will be very similar heading to the finish.
Sleeping
Giants knew he had to make his move before the knock out stages and truly gave
it his best. It was not to be.
Luckily oimatey lost a little ground this past weekend to
the incredible Giants who now seems resigned to taking the silver.
The fight’s however not over till the final whistle and they’ll keep swinging as best they can. Of that there's no doubt!
I must however congratulate the pouting Lightbringers for a
fine season. They lead most of the year
and have not only fought to attain a top hundred spot but have a good shot at
moving into the top 10. 300 points is a tough ask but can be done, so good luck to them.
CleanCut’sHorde lies only one spot ahead of the Lightbringers (a mere 10 points) and hopes to avoid additional boasts and verbal abuse from the Mighty Pouters by staying ahead of them.
The bronze medal is still up for grabs though.
Oimatey,
Basquefan, The Boss as well as Sasuke Utchiha all have a shot at claiming this prized
medallion. May the best team take his rightful spot at 3 and stay the hell away from the silver.
I hope to return with final episodes over the next two
weeks ... especially bringing good tidings of the Incredible Giants not only closing
the gap but pipping the Lightbringers at the post.
