I was just wondering what players you think are players to look out for in fantasy rugby terms. I ask this because often a player who plays well, doesent always translate into fantasy rugby. Van der merwe of the bulls and famuina had pretty gd games, but diddnt score big at all for me. So basically just asking what players do you think perform better in fantasy rugby, oppossed to players whos performances dont translate into fantasy points. Players that are key from what ive seen so far are; Mogg, Folau, Strauss, Braid, Whitelock.
Fantasy Rugby
bro... you can't go wrong with the Mighty Chiefs...
...this week and every week except bye week it's Cruden, Nanai Williams , Fruean and Messam for me...
....then looking ahead to see who else might win next week...??..or even who might win over the next couple of rounds as you have to plan ahead...that would be anyone playing the Stormers lol..
Maybe throw in a couple of Crusties ,a couple of Sharkies and a few Tahs , as the forementioned are the 4 top teams IMO...i'm also partial to Savea on my wing and have Genia as well...Highlanders gotta be favourites to win next week too so Ben and Aaaron Smith come to mind...
... but don't have anymore yarpies in my team than i have to so can't help you out much there sorry mate...
deon fourie IMO is the most conssitent hooker, because the bulk of his gametime comes from him playing looseforward, he tends to score highly as loose forward is a position which generally scores well.
hes been a high scorer for the last couple of seasons too.
connie oosthuizen is the most consistent high scoring prop, but unfortunately injured at the moment.
izzy folau is a gold mine for the outside backs.
that warren whitley fulla is right up there in 2014 as one of the most consistent loose forwards, as is luke braid. but luke braid has been consistent for the few years.
one player who isnt quire a must have but IMO is worthy of a decent look is the lions boschoff, 22, 37, 14 and 28 are some pretty decent numbers that hes racked up in 2014.
at a 117k, hes a bargain thats at least worthy of a bench spot for when ur preferred flyhalve is not available for what ever reason.
whats worse is i left kurtley on m ybench so the sub is useless to me and in the same week i played my wildcard, carpamondo, :o(
Sas a quick question please - if I join late what does that mean? Do I get average points, which would probably get me ahead of Wardad lol
I was in the 4N/RC in the SARugby Fantasy Rugby just gone, got hugely put off when my choice hooker got red carded and I went from 6th I think to almost last. But looks like the S15 Fantasy is a little different.
unfortunately u wont get any points for this round, as soon as u register and enter the league.
u will start accumulating points from the week ur entered and if u do it this week, u will end up 5 rounds behind everyone else,
I'm flogging Rhys Marshall and picking Deon Fourie. H e's expensive but I can't afford not to have him. As you say, he's playing as a loosie but scoring the bonus prop points.
"Oimatey, yes, I'm doing pretty well in the Superbru Fantasy comp. I'm 4th on the Global leaderboard and I think that's mainly down to me selecting Israel Folau as my captain for the first two rounds." Long way to go though, hope I can keep it up!"
4rh globally??? holy rusty nail batman!!! o_O
that is very impressive rooy, way to represent sarugby.com and big congrats from the uchiha clan, :o)
spot on regarding the halfbacks, the lions faf de klerk is pretty good value at 75k.
hougaard has in the past been a real solid fantasy performer, and IMO with the bulls starting to find their groove back, hes one to keep an eye on.
i can understand why ged isnt getting much gametime, IMO coltman is a future All Black in waiting.
but if injury should befall coltman, ged will get his chance and i wouldnt be surprised if coltman loses the incumbancy.
