It is early days yet and there is a lot of udating to be done - but despite my optoiimism about selections this week I am doing badly so far.   I have only got 291 points plus 26 points for Lambie - so I might get over the magical figure of 350 - but 400 is way out of sight this week.

The week started disastrous for all of us when it was announced that Anscombe is not playing.  I had Lambie on the bench - but that sofetened the blow slightly,   However, it was bad news all round.   The top scorers vanished from sight and players like Cane and Schatz were vastly disappointing.   So were most of the players that benefitted us all last week.

Disappointing show for all of us.  Oi-matey seems to have a good chance to kkept our hope alive in the Cup competition - but I am pessimistic about the channces of Sasue to survive.   I was lucky to select Folau as my captain.   That helped slightly more than I expected.

On the Test Rugby side I am afraid I am going not to make any gains this weekend.   I have four bad disappointments this week.   Anscombe is out - Cane was a disaster - Foley was bad news and James Brier was a disaster.   My selections did score three tries though - and that gives me an extra 100 points.   All the other 8 players shoulfd do reasonably well - especially Strauss, Cooper, Higginbotham, Luatua, Ranger and Folau,

Lets hope that I am not too pessimistic and that we get somewhat more in points than I think possible.

@mikey,
glad to hear that oimateys doing all right, in the other league im in there are also only two of us left in that cup challenege, me and this other chick whose a hard out blues fans & she had halai, saili and higginbotham in her team, 6 tries worth of points right there, its put her ina commanding position and also knocked me out of the top 3, :o(

right now ive only got tamati ellison & ben smith left to try and earn me some points, plus the tackle counts from deon fourie, mcibbin tto help give a boost, but ima resigned to the fact my cup challeneg has come to an end.

im pretty annoyed at how well ben franks preformed this week, after putting up with his low scores for two weeks, he cracks out a nice 39pts the same week i sub him out, o_O bloody typical. ;o(

my fantasy demise though is NZ rugbys gain, with NZ teams scoring 3 from 3 this weekend, including the tough cheetahs match, but i wouldnt mind my fantasy and rugby teams in real life to both be succeeding, is that really too much to ask for???

ok, time for ben smith and tamati ellison to get 6 tries between the two of them, so finger crossed, after all, it aint over till vermeulen sings, :o)

Sasue

After watching the Highlanders game I am glad I did not go for Ellison - yellow card and all.   He really showed nothing in the gameand I do not think he is a reasonable selection in future.   Now we obviously have another selection problem as well - Brier was injured and I do not think he will be back next week.

The Highlanders was poor tonight and I think it will be worse when they meet the Bulls.  The Storemrs were disgraceful and the Sharks not much better.   I think the Cheetahs caused their own loss this weekend by passing balls within their 22 - they should play a passing game - but need to take position on the field of play into account.
