Sasue and Oi-matey

First of all Oi-matey - your persistence with George Smith as a loosie paid off handsomely.   He had a good game in Cape Town followed by two average to poor games and after the first disaster I dumped him.  Should have stuck with him myself and dump Matt Todd instead..  Kade Poki is a good player and it is a pity he got injured again - he and Parker were the only two players that was any good in the Highlanders set-up.

Sasue

I was impressed by Parker at flyhalf - where is this guy coming from?   He and Poki were the only Highlanders that showed some spark - the rest of the team was real rubbish.

I am not overly impressed by Leafitano at flyhalf.  He is a bit erratic in goalkicking - but showed no real penetration at 12.  However, I only have him as my second flyhalf in the Test Rugby Squad.

Destined for the ASH HEAP  first thing NEXT WEEK:-

   1.   HOSEA GEAR

   2.   CHRISTIAN LEAFITANO (TEST RUGBY)

I only had one player in the Foxsport team and one player in the Test Rugby squad this round and although especially Gear did some damage to my prospects this week - all is not lost.  Should have followed my first inclination and put in Mogg and kept Gear on the bench - serious mistake by me.   Think I am going to replace Gear and rather put in Le Roux - at least he can tackle and he does score tries and not knock on as many balls. lol

Gear is definitely turning into a feast or famine player. Will have those big games, but is it worth holding on to him during the low scoring ones? - the conundrum of fantasy rugby.

Lealifano's best asset is that he kicks for goals on a successful team, as you say he doesn't appear to have the "it" factor with ball in hand, especially for a 12

I don't really see Gear as feast or famine. When you look at his production his worst week was 220. That's not great, but still solid. I will take a 220 one week when he puts up 400+ the next week. His average is high at well over 300 as well.

For whatever reason though I never pick him. I'm always stuck on O'Connor, and then someone else. Went with Piutau last round.

The only ash heap I'm aware of, is the one where you crashed and burned OOM Maaik...hahahahaha! My advice, just enjoy the games and don't try to think too much.

Mozart

I do enjoy the games - because I look at games comprehensively and without blinkers.   I do not miss out on 50% of the games - like you do.  Enjoy tomorrow - both the Stormers and Bulls are going one way - and that is down.

Can - what you say is true, "famine" is an overstatement. You should pick him, but what until after his bye next week !

That's the reason I didn't pick him this weekend. Went with Mogg instead. Doesn't look like he had a great game though. He's just so darn cheap though. When he performs it's such a good bang for your buck.

Can

I must admit I bought Mogg on the Foxsport programme  but put him on the bench.  After auditing of the match info Gear got 4 points and Mogg got two points on Foxsport - he really was an absolute disaster this morning.  Am afraid the one is as bad as the other .   Bitterly disappointed in both.  Huge mistake on my part,   Sasue did even worse - he had on Foxsport Gear, Ben Smith and Leafitano.   For the three combined he got 27 points,   Real disaster those three - 4, 7 and 17 points respectively.

I was lucky - with a bit of luck piutau will Pick up 27 points on his own.
