Fantasy Team Selections - Round 17

The Wallaby Squad assembled in Sydney today to start their preparations for the Lions test series and snce there are only four Assie teams playing in Round 17 and none in Round 18 = all the members are in a jam for selecion.  There has been three changes to the squad as a result of injuroes and the squad is now as follows:

Australia squad: Ben Alexander, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Berrick Barnes, Nick Cummins, Dave Dennis, Saia Faingaa, Israel Folau, Will Genia, Liam Gill, , Michael Hooper, Rob Horne, James Horwill, Sekope Kepu, Christian Lealiifano, Stephen Moore, Ben Mowen, James O'Connor, Wycliff Palu, Benn Robinson, Rob Simmons, James Slipper, Joe Tomane, Nick Phipps, Kane Douglas, Ben McCalman. 

None of the above payers will apparently be available for the teams in Round 17 - so I might as well not submit a team this coming week.   If I get 200 points - it will be  a massive achievement.

I'm going to just stick with the 4 Aussie players I have right now and only make 8 trades. Will make 12 the next round and still have 7 left. So I should be fine.

Right now I'm sticking with Toomua, Inman, Pyle, and Ged Robinson. Hopefully they're all in this weekend.

You're in good shape Can. I have Robinson, Kimlin, Pyle and Foley in the team now and waiting on the rest for team announcements. Should have 4 tranfers left after Round 18.

As Rooi pointed out this week is going to be very tricky with the Force squad unlikely to be known before the deadline and adding in the unknown of player availability after their game against the Lions Wednesday. Hopefully the Waratahs will announce in time so at least 3 of the 4 teams will have selections that can be counted on to play.

i was very close to recruiting phibbs in my team, but im glad i didnt considering his selection.

hopefully pyle isnt too badly injured, ive got 9 players in my team for rnd 17, plus the 6 transfers, so all good in the foxsport hood.

testrugby.com is a different story though, but my selections in these stages especially rnd18 onwards are going to be selections with long haul plans in mind.

cant wait for the lions series to being, id imagine the force team to be named very close to the one named last week, already made my selections, just waiting to finalise it.

 Burgess is supposed to play in Phipps' place - that could be worth a transfer as he has a lot to prove.

im going to need all 6 transfers to make up a full team and ive got halfback already covered, so burgess is not an option for me, but i was a fan of burgess before he left.

one thing regarding the selections is u will be almost guranteed to transfer every single player in ur team out for the next match. the lions next game after the force is against the reds with only a three day turnaround.
