Farewell Bokke

Man that was crazy. I enjoyed every bit of it and especially the banter. I'll see you next time! Engerland will be back!! Mark my words!! Until that time keep those damn kiwis in check!!

England are our bunnies for 4 more years!!!!  
I said before the World cup that the team most likely to be able to beat the All Blacks was England, also that the Boks were the team most likely to be able to beat England. 
There was only really 4 contenders - New Zealand, England, Boks and Wales. 
Wales probably had too many injuries, before and during the world cup, so there was only really 3 teams in it.  
Ireland was too old, and lack the pace for fast pitches, and the Wallabies lack the tight five or game plan

On the day a team can play 20% better than their average, and another team can play 20% worse than their average, it is obvious who will win.It happened with England vs All Blacks, and it happened again today in the final.
If the game was played again next week, it is possible England could have played better, and win. However, the Boks are a bit of a bogey team for England- and the Boks usually seem to raise our game for England. 
The Boks did have any easier semi-final, so perhaps England peaked for the semi as well.
Something that Rassie said was he felt his strategy of using the Bomb squad to replace the tight five early in the second half of each match, and with the 6 forwards 2 backs split, made our pack more fresh for the World Cup final. 

Clive Woodward also commented that the England bench tight five did not have the depth of the Boks. England injuring their tighthead prop in the first minute was a drawback, and this compounded the problem on less bench depth.
