Seasons greetings to you all! I'm off with family and friends to do some fly fishing, and by fly fishing I mean I'm going to an awesome fly fishing spot where I can sit and watch my dogs swim in the dams while pissing off the actual fly fishermen.

Bluebok enjoy...watch out there is a virus out called fishing pox...it's highly contagious especially the fly one...once you get a dose it's incurable and your dogs will suffer the consequences...

December however was never a good trouting month and never will be, but it's better than mowing the lawn in Natal. If it weren't for the fact that even December fishing beats mowing the lawn I'd pack it up and play golf instead right through to the end of January.
Heat, drought, hailstorms, family reunions and the assorted magic potions that come in bottles don't help to make the fishing memorable at this time of the year.

Maaikie we will probably gate crash you some time but our life at the moment is in disarray...i love the part where you live...I knew it as a young rep and to me and my foreign wife who loves Herman . us and Knysna and Buffelsbaai, expect our intrusion some day.
