This ridiculous BS where players clearly without the ball and unattached to the ruck are tackled by opponents has become absurd. Stamp tried to  slap away Farrell’s hand, but he wouldn’t be denied....he held on as Stamp staggered away. Then there appeared to be a debate as to who was at fault!

Utter nonsense.....tackling a player without the ball is  against the rules. When it’s done cynically a card is the right response.

I wholeheartedly agree ....... long been bewildered how players on the fringes of the ruck are harassed by opponents, yet making a legitimate but unsuccessful attempt to intercept a pass often leads to a yellow card.

Farrell is a dirty and nasty piece of tripe who is allowed top et away with murder by the referees because he is the English captain.  Should have been carded  and sent to the cooler in this case.

The tacking of a player without the ball as described by Moz can of course be traced back to Nz who popularized this type of cheating.
