Recall what happened to Thomas Du Toit. He got a red. But this was deemed a fair tackle Rassie's reply is priceless.!!!! But don't complain Oaks you might e called a whiner and you know how bad that is!

This tackle and the incident with the du Toit's RED CARD are two different cases.

After a slow mo on the Farrell tackle it is obvious that he tried to get his arms around Essie while the du Toit incident was just a simple case of stupidity.

I support the Springboks but a foul is a foul.

Fair call I thought.

I am not a Farrell fan either but this particular tackle was at best "Borderline" plus Esterhuizen was able to keep possession and make the ball available for the Springboks without any indication of a "HEAD HIT".
Both Red cards earned by the Springboks in these tests against France and England in my opinion was correct.
Plain irresponsible and dangerous play by the individuals concerned.

AJH you are speaking utter crap That Farrell hit is high, no arms and head contact It’s an absolute disgrace that a penalty was not awarded - it should have been a card

Farrell suffers from the same lack of technique in the tackle as Sonny Bill. It was as clear a foul as could be. It would have resulted in a penalty and a red card and we would've had a shot at goal to win the game.

Doos this is the first and probably only time I’ll ever agree with you That was a penalty slap bang in front of the poles to win the game and a red card Absolute disgrace and insult that the officials did not rule it that way after reviewing it Smacks of corruption

I watched that match in the Fireman's Arms in Cape Town...there were two Pom supporters in full English kit and even they were disgusted...said it leaves a bitter taste winning a match like that...had a few beers with them during and after the match...nice blokes.

AJ is one of the soundest posters on this board so its a pity to see him get one wrong! Then in the same thread we get Alucard getting it right for once. Lightening string twice at the same place!

Farrell is prone to do that...tackle with no arms rapped around....also did it on the OZ tour....dirty knob head.

Fergie McCormick has just sent a message from the other side saying Mannetjies Roux was his superior in head high tackles and in anticipation of that he should not be blamed for his tackle on Syd Nomis.

This string gets my vote for the most pathetic of the year….and Harrassmiss gets the Bad Sport of the Year Award, again.
