My inal prediction is as follows:-

After 40 minutes three penalties by Steyn and one by the POMS - Score 9 -3

Steyn replaced - South Africa scored 3 converted tries .    POMS score 2 tries, no conversions) and get two more penalty kicks over.

Final Score - South Africa    30      England     19

No team, Cheetahs aside, in SA, or a Bok side, has scored more tries without Morné in the side. The trend though has been for the Boks to score lots of tries minus Jean. The fact that Morné and Frans work very well together will amplify this. The big question is this. How low will Jean drag the backline? His defence is so-so and he has never been an attacking force. I think Meyer will sub him around the 50 min mark. If England score tries, it will have a lot to do with Jean's defence and the front row folding.

It's a very valid question. Teams with Jean at 12 don't score tries. Teams with Morné do in fact tend to score lots of tries. Can anyone connect the dots? It's a shame that doff Saffers never even consider the role of the inside centre and certinly are too dishonest or thick to recount past games accurately enough for a credible reference. Jean last played on the wing in 2010, his lateral defence was ferociously exposed. At 13, the most difficult defensive position on the field? It doesn't inspire much confidence in me. It seems that he is only there as a captain, but one would have been better served having Strauss at 2 with de Jongh at 13; this drastically strengthening the side.

Beeno.  Please Mike is the person who never loses a bet.   He three bets today - namely

Race 8 Clairwood - Princess Victoria to win, Springboks to win by more than 9 points, and Nadal to win

                                         Princess Victoria won already

Double :   Princess Victoria and Springboks to win by more than 7 points

Single   : Princess Victoria to win

I may be an agent to needle and make contorversial remarks and may even have my doubts about the selection,  but I never can be accused of being a bloody idiot.
