I like Faf de Klerk he is a veritable dynamo. Lack of experience is counting against him. Perhaps Meyer should be bold?

He's going to have to be, but it really is an enormous setback. We play off or 9 most, so whoever comes in has a huge mountain to climb.

Faf is again on the bench for this weekend game do not know why Ackerman does that to this very good youngster.. Meyer is not that bold to pick him. I think Reinach was already in the Meyer training squad before and he is likely the choice in this case as Hougaard was not really good enough on Saturday - despite Saffex's outburst to the contrary.
The bloody Japan soft rugby system is detrimental to the fitness and physical development of players. As a result too many injuries is a problem

Reinach is the logical choice with Faf the dark horse.
Pity about Fourie Dupreez who is easily the best scrumhalf in world rugby , his Japanese club are not going to be happy.

This may impact access to Japanese players. HM should have got players like F du Preez and Willie off sooner last week. But given all the vitriol it was only human to run up the score.
He will rely on Pienaar. Hougaard is a basket case. Faf lacks experience. Reinach makes a lot of errors and shines mostly ball in hand. I'm not a great Pienaar fan, but the only alternative is Rory and HM doesn't have an affinity there.

Up to making general statements again. "Reinach makes a lot of errors and shines mostly ball in hand.' Why don't you just prove that one by facts before you come up with such a statement? Maybe ESPN would help in that.
Reinach did make mistakes - but he has done more that he is credit for. Remember he had to play with Fransie as flyhalf and that is not a pleasure either. He was very good playing together with a proper flyhalf last year and helped the Sharks a lot more than eh cost them. Remember the Crusaders and the Blues games perhaps?
I used to like Piernaar as a scrummie - but he is really getting way past it. However, we will have to wait and see what Meyer comes up with.
