Fleck: Bok 'blueprint' won't dictate our style

Cape Town - October's SA Rugby coaching Indaba saw Springbok coach Allister Coetzee get the ball rolling in his search for a South African 'blueprint'.
The idea is simple: to get everybody on the same page in terms of how South African
players should be coached from a junior
level right through to Super Rugby.
All six Super Rugby coaches were present
at that Indaba and they also joined Coetzee
in a follow-up meeting in December.
The concern, of course, is that the
Super Rugby sides would be instructed
how to train and, ultimately, how to play.
But, according to Stormers coach Robbie Fleck,
each Super Rugby side has been encouraged
to keep its own identity and there has
been no word from SA Rugby on what
the final 'blueprint' should look like.
"There is nothing yet from SA Rugby,"
Fleck said.
"They've given us some feedback from the
meetings that they had.
"It's nothing that is enforced on us as a
franchise.
"We certainly will work and help SA Rugby
in whatever way we can and help them
develop the players in the way they see it,
but we’ve got our own philosophies, culture and game-plan and that will continue.
"That was agreed among all the coaches,
including Allister. They want each team to
have their own flavour but when it comes to alignment we will certainly help them where
we can."
The Stormers get their Super Rugby campaign underway on February 25 with a clash against the Bulls at Newlands.

The Stormers game plan should be ahead of the Springbok game plan.
They have been recruiting a specialist fetcher, as well as a skills coach- from New Zealand I think I read last week.
