Probably these generations will be made use of by the next Bok coach. I can't say I'm too sure how the current regime are going to go. Heynecke will stay loyal to a certain few and his rigidity at times may haunt him or it could end up working well for him who knows.

At our 3 major unions the following 23 & 22 year-olds have gone from U21 Currie Cup last couple of years or continued to be part of the senior Rugby set-up (from the youth system or not) whether injured or not.

Great post.   What would be interesting is what now youngsters will go through next year.   I am thinking of players like Jakkals Schickerling (lock) and Duhan van der Merwe (wing) in particular.   I believe they are great prospects and WP should make sure they are not grabbed by other Unions.

There is also a youngster by the name of Van Rensburg (center) who was in the UWC squad and is involved with the Bulls.

All three above are at school still - but they would be grabbed by the Unions  if they can get them.   Huge potential - probably better than most of the present youngsters.

Pollard only left school in 2012 so he is 19. Seems to have been around for ages and possibly too much too soon for him ? As you can see quite a few of the Bulls u21 side has been playing for the seniors but like last season the seniors didn't make it all the way so they put players back into to the u21s to beat a younger WP u21 side with less senior experience. 

This season on the other hand WP will have more or less the same team a year older and wiser with senior experience as well. Going to be quite an u21 final. Best of the best of young talent of SA rugby.

van Rensburg is with the Bulls u19s but he started the season with the 21s but it didn't go to well. To be honest I haven't seen too much of what the fuss is about yet just like Dries Swanepoel. Built like brick shit house but no side stepping feet so reminds me of Frans Venter.

 The Sharks have Andre Esterhuizen who is already playing for their under 21s and training with the seniors who is a player to watch. They could push him to 13 and play Van Rensburg at 12 or they're in competition with one another and play Daniel Kriel at 13.

The player who excites me the most for the 19 year-old group is Jesse Kriel. Pretty electric and powerful full-back the Bulls poached from the Sharks. I mentioned his twin brother above in Daniel Kriel who the Bulls also took.

Don't think Duhan has signed for anybody yet ? Still with SWD ? Pretty impressive for SWD to have two boys make SA Schools squad 2 years in a row with him and Gelant.

Find it quite funny - You look at the schoolboy list above and Phillips (can understand him as WP have signed him from Blue Bull country), du Preez twins, Nonkontwana, Nche, Gelant and van der Merwe were involved for the SA u18s against England but not playing u19 Currie Cup.

Yet Sage, Schickerling, Schramm & Wright all are and putting in pretty impressive performances in the u19 Currie Cup as schoolboys.

I rate Duhan van der Merwe ahead of any of the two wings mentioned by you - he is the same weight as JJ and faster than him - with a heck of a lot of ball sense.   The real deal and a definite futur e Springbok wing. 

Unfortunately not Beeno. Just like to keep in touch with the young talent coming through.

2012 SA Schools team is where the majority of the 2014 SA u20 squad will come from as u19s in 2013. Bulls won Craven Week and took most of the best talent from around the country as well.
