Loose-forward Jono Ross, has been granted an early release by the Bulls to join French Club side Stade Francais.
Ross, who has been released with immediate effect, will join the side on December 1st as a replacement for the injured David Lyons.
Bulls coach Frans Ludeke highlighted that losing Ross will be a minor setback, but noted that the players returning from injury, the new signings and the younger players making their way through the ranks will stand the side in good stead for next year’s Super Rugby and Currie Cup campaigns.
'Jono provided leadership and played at six, seven and eight for us when our loose forward department was depleted due to injuries, but thanks to our junior structures, the return of injured players and some new signings, we have a strong group for next year,' Ludeke said.
The Bulls will place their faith in the returning injured duo of Pierre Spies and Arno Botha, with the Toyota Cheetahs Lappies Labuschagne also joining them after being signed in the off-season.
After improving overseas with Saracens, Ross went on to captain the Bulls in the 2014 season and put in some solid performances in the number-eight jersey.
