This is a Tokkie Fact Check.
.
Can some neutral poster take a look at the YouTube or recording of Saturday's first half against the Chiefs and tell me whether Wiese packed open or blindside.

What side of the scrum is an opensider scrumming according to you ?

Perhaps this is your problem. Open side is the side of the scrum with more distance to touch....the open side flanker can be found on that side of the scrum....as Kolisi was when Wiese was on.

Its obvious that Kolisi is the openside and Wiese the blindside

Can some neutral poster confirm if Moffie made the following statements on the same thread:
"Kolisi plays the role of a 6, unless of course you think Elstadt or Wiese are fetchers...hahaha."
"Kolisi has played open side in every game where Elstadt or Wiese started."
Followed by this . . .
". . . but Elstadt did pack open side vs the Bools, which frankly surprised me."
Now we have Moffie trying desperately to change the subject . . . "forget about the numbers".
LMAO!

Not at all Urinal, having seen Kolisi play open and Wiese blind.....logically Elstadt should also have played blind. I made that assumption, but then went back to check my facts.
.
When I discovered that Elstadt played open side, illogically I think.....I came back and reported my mistake.
Honesty....you should try it some time.

Thanks Dave, but Tokkie won't buy the logic.

So why should we forget about the numbers and the interpretation you gave is in fact correct about the side the opensider scrummed on. However, that does not mean that your interpretation is correct and one wonders why Kolisi is selected at 7 and play at 6. Will watch out nd see what happens on Saturday - but I am not convinced that your interpretation is correct. Will report back on the issue after the game.

Nope, no point in doing that....asI reported Carr packed open side and Kolisi reverted to blindside once Wiese left. All you have to do is go to a recording of the first half to see Wiese at blind and Kolisi at open.

I said I will check on Saturday and I will admit if I am wrong - so why not wait and see.

No need the footage is available right now and if Wiese is not playing Saturday, how the blue blazes, can you 'see' on Saturday?

I will still check because you went for Kolisi vs Klein to start off and I will see who packs down where.

Moffie, the real question is how in the blue blazes can you possibly see anything with all that egg all over your stupid face?

Not as much egg as Urinal who thought Brussouw was discarded in 2009......a classic blunder.

I did not pay that much attention to which side the flankers packed, but Stormers normally plays left pr right rather than open or blind.

So.....Wiese played blindside and Kolisi played open side.....when Carr came on for Wiese, Kolisi shifted to blindside. There was no left right, just blindside and open side. Tomorrow I expect Tokkie to do his usual teehee thing when Kolisi plays blindside to Carr's open side. That's the level we operate at....pathetic really.
.
But regardless of where he plays tomorrow, Kolisi could only play open side for the Boks ....hence a direct competitor to Klentjie Kriel. Which is where this silly episode started. Tomorrow may tell us which one is the more convincing.
