I am so tired of the same old arguments on every thread bitching about old players, the "useless" Morne, Meyer not knowing his arse from his elbow etc etc. Look you bunch of whiny little girls, the Boks' are kicking ass at the moment! Only a bloody good All Black side has been able to beat us in the last 14 months. If Meyer was the complete retard toss you all make him out to be, then how could this be? Open your eyes and realize that Morne is the best we have at the moment, because Lambie has NOT proven himself, and Goosen is not ready. If you can't see that, then unfortunately I have to be the one to inform you that you suffer from some sort of mental retardation. Meyer is using this EOY tour to test the older players, if they don't cut it, I guarantee you they will be out. But here is the crux of my argument, like Meyer, I don't care if a players is using crutches, if he is the best in his position, then he should be playing. If Saffex and Mike had their way we'd have the U21 baby boks playing this weekend. Pietersen, J Fourie, Bakkies and co. are being tested to see if they can still cut it at this level. If not, the young guns will very quickly replace them. If you all weren't so bloody pig headed, you'd notice that he has given a lot of young guys a taste of international rugby this season, and now also some of the older guys. He can thus asses which players are where, and make an educated decision based on what he has seen from all of them. Bottom line, those that perform will be in, and those that don't will be out, but he has given them all a chance to show where they are at the moment. Bloody simple if you ask me.

Pine, it just gets so annoying, some posters bitch non stop about everything, but they don't stop for five seconds to actually appreciate how far the Boks have come in the last two years.
This very same Meyer took the Bulls from a bottom dwelling Super Rugby failure, to first time Champions in only a few seasons. I see him applying the same tactics now with the Boks, and I see no reason why the end result should not be the ultimate prize.

I must admit I'm a bit disappointed. When I saw the title of this thread I thought you were going to be providing us with a comprehensive list of who exactly is who's bitch on this forum. Now I see it's just a general whine about people bitching.

Oh well, I do think a "who's who" sort of list of bitches is needed so here goes . . .

Moffie: Ou Maaik's bitch

Baboon-ou: All the Kiwi posters' bitch

Smallcock: Rooinek's bitch

Dense: Moffie's bitch

Klown: Saffex's bitch

Any other suggestions? Did I miss any?

Love it Rooi

Bluebok, remind us again, who the hell are you? Do you actually post on this board.

You are either lying to yourself or stupid if you think Bok rugby has progressed under Meyer - the bloke is a joke

Rooi, touche, I too am bitching ! You can therefore add my name to the list.
Also answer me this question, have the Springboks been a complete failure over the last 14 months or not?

Saffex, we've been through this many times before, I am the weird figment of your imagination that you periodically say the same thing to.
Saff, jokes aside, what is so bad about the results under Meyer?

Bluebok, just to be absolutely clear, my list wasn't a list of people who like to bitch, mine is a definitive and comprehensive list of which posters on this forum are the squealing little bitches of which other posters.

The results under Meyer in his first year were piss poor. This year we struggled past Italy, Scotland and the Argies away and did not look close to beating NZ.......and now we have a bunch of geriatrics recalled........its regression and pisses me off no end.

I cannot begin to think how a coach can bring himself to think that we are going to challenge the world with the likes of Fourie, Jean, Morne, du Preez, Pienaar, Steenkamp and Bakkies on board......next year we will see the return of Spies, Schalk and Matfield no doubt

Rooi, its all too confusing! I ask you a question about rugby, and you reply with a statement about which poster bends over for which other poster. Now I suspect it has something to do with the hooker, cos they bend down with a bunch of big boys behind them, but I am not sure!
Ok Saff, I'll concede Meyer did not get the results in the first year, but the team is certainly a lot more balanced now. J Fourie is already on borrowed time, Jean is old, but our best (Most consistent) centre so far this year, Morne is not perfect, but Lambie still has plenty to prove (He'll have his second bite at the apple this weekend), and unfortunately, injuries slowed Goosen's progress, but I trust Meyer would have been playing him already, but for the injuries. Du Preez is still class, Pienaar is kak and I don't understand his inclusion, and Bakkies is probably past it, and I doubt he'll play much beyond this tour, but as a mentor, he has plenty to add. Spies will not wear a Bok jersey bar injuries to both Vermeulen and Alberts. And Matfield is just a rumor. Why PS Du Toit is not in the match day 23 is anybody' s guess.
Look, Meyer has made decisions I don't like, but on a whole, the team is getting better and better under his guidance.

Bluebok, sorry. To answer your question, I think the Springboks have done okay under Heyneke Meyer. Some of his selections are really baffling but I do rate him as a coach and I actually like him  for the way he shows his emotions during a game.

Great guy, decent coach but crap selector. We could do a lot worse . . . we could have Twakkie or, even worse, Joke White!

True that Rooi. I think the one thing people outside the Bok setup cannot see is Meyer's absolute passion and his ability to get the best out of his players. There is more to winning than just team selection and tactics.

rooitwit your posts indicate you have no clue as to rugby or bitches. Nothing unexpected.Bluebok a very sane post. You will all note ou snapster and maaaaikie have not let us have meyer loss %.snapster was up and down like a yo yo about the % at the begining but now is as quiet as a mouse. Wonder why that is. Bwahahahhahaha
Its a terrible thing to imagine what these two luminaries will say about Meyer if the Boks lose a test!!
They sit in front of the TV hoping each game that the boks will lose so their point of view will be vindicated. My its been lean picking but the shrillness increases as each test draws nigh and then they go quite again. Most amusing!

Beans, credit where due, Rooi has stated that all is not lost under Meyer. A year and a half ago, the Boks looked directionless, they are now viewed as a very solid team and favourites in just about all the games they play in. Lets see what happens for the remainder of the EOY tour and how the various players perform. If the old horses fail and Meyer includes them anyway, then I'll join the chorus, but at this point, he looks to be working according to a decent plan.

Bluebok,
I have to agree with you.
My biggest criticism of Meyer has been his player selections.
Initially he selected too many Bulls players that were just not Springbok material, and now he is selecting old overseas players ahead of locally based players.
A player like FDP is a good selection because he is much better than any Scrumhalf in South Africa, and on current form possibly the best in the world. He won man of the match last week, and was great for most of the matches this year except the All Blacks.
On  the positive side, Meyers team has scored more tries this year than pretty much any team.
In the 4 nations it was allmost as many as the All Blacks and could have been better were it not for some very poor individual tackling technique against the All Blacks. Australia were destroyed this year by the Boks and got pushed back to 4th in the world.
The attacking rugby that was played this year was better than anything in the PDV years, and equal or better than Jake Whites best years.
Although I agree with you. Players that are old and not performing will be dropped. I would have preferred to have started the incumbent players, and s the overseas players take bench spots and earn a starting position.
Morne is not great, but flyhalf is never been an area of much depth in South Africa. At least not an all rounder flyhalf. We either have runners or kickers, rarely both.
Goosen is the best thing that we have seen for ages, and Meyer might just be thinking that he has a long career and has been pushed to early and this is causing the injuries. Once he fills out he made be more suited to the demands of international rugby and be less prone to injury.
PSD not being selected was the biggest screw up. Why play Flip? This is Meyer sticking with the over safe route.
