I'm in Cape Town for the Easter weekend so I won't be around here much to chat about the rugby.
I used all 4 my Foxsports trades this week to bring in Crusaders . . . Seta Tamanivalu (my captain), Manasa Mataele, Michael Alaalatoa and Kieran Read. I know I said earlier that I wouldn't pick players simply because of who they're playing that week but I reckon apart from Mataele who is a bit of an opportunistic selection, the others are all good players who I'd want in my team anyway and I'm not just picking them just because I expect the Crusaders to hammer the Sunwolves.
My Foxsports Team:
PR: M Alaalatoa; P ManuHK: H ElliottLK: S Whitelock; M FatiolofaLF: S Notshe; S Cane; K ReadSH: A PuluFH: B BarrettCT: J Barrett; S Tamanivalu (capt)OB: M Mataele; J Savea; D McKenzie

Wish I could get to Newlands to see the Hapless Stompies get humiliated by the Lions but it's my grandson's birthday so I have zero chance. I console myself with the fact that at least I won't have to walk around with my back to the wall as straight guys generally have to do at Newlands.
Enjoy the weekend everyone and good luck to your teams . . . except the Hapless Stompies of course!
Gooooooooooooo Lions!

It can't get worse than this . . . my Fantasy Rugby captain gets concussed and yellow carded at the same time. I'm losing a lot of ground this week.

Manassa was a damn good pick !Could be worse though ,the only reason I beat poor wee Ou Makkie was because he had Cane as his Captain !

I am killed whenever I pick Hurricanes players.  I have both Perenara and Aso and both were useless.  Must lean to get away from them asap.
Lucky I picked Smith and Cooper from the Reds - but all Blues and Hurricanes players were dead losses.
Must stay clear of the players who are pedestrian - from whatever team they are .

Don't feel to bad Cloudy, Blues only lost to the eventual champions . I think it just reflects how tough the NZ conference is. IF Blues were in the other conferences, they would be leading. I just think the Canes were better in the big moments, and were far more proficient. Barret's xfactor was the difference too, he created oppurtunities when their were none. Which lead to the Abbot try. SBW was largely shut down, other then one break. Unluckey for Blues. Probably not their year this year, maybe the next 1-2 years.
