We need a calm head at scrum half that doesn't take a century to get the ball out of the ruck and pass it. Someone simple who isn't erratic and get's over excited.

I think the whole Boks Team including the reserves played well.

Can't agree, Hougaard and Bismarck had a mare.
Vermeulen was the best player on the park, along with Ben Smith and Conrad Smith.

@ Shezza; Rory Kockett made it clear he was available for Bok duties Should Meyer needed his service. Well, Meyer does what Meyer does best, ignore talent.

to be attacking the ABs on their line at the death with a possibility of scoring a match winning try takes a very good TEAM to do that. And to play positive rugby the whole 80minutes is to be commended. I must say the ABs had a very hard time trying to breach that defense.

It's a mystery why Rory Kockett doesn't get picked, Meyer is too stubborn to pick him now as well.
Hougaard kicked the ball up field whilst in the AB half after a Habana break and then he decided to pass it to Lood on the blindeside rather than trying to keep possession in the dying moments of the game to try and break through.

I did wonder about that blindside pass - maybe he thought if he sucked in more forwards and defenders on the blindside then less defenders to his left when it would eventually be spread wide.

Well done AB's, incredible defence at the death. WELL DONE BOK'S you did yourselves and your supporters proud. Bizzie you are no where near your best, Adriaan is our best 2 without a doubt. When called upon POLLARD was definitely up for the challenge and that in itself brings a smile to my face even in defeat.WELL DONE!!!

Don't forget to praise Pollard, he played well & the Boks have part of the puzzle in place now. Plenty to be up about as the team played pretty well across the board.

If I had any hair long enough on my head I would have pulled a handful out when we went blindside at the end there. There is no space, you have one guy isolated, what was he thinking. Hougaard was poor the entire time he was on, especially those pointless deep kicks.

Don't mention Hougaard and decision making in the same sentence - - it is one huge blank on his part. I believe that he is not on par with scrummies like Reinach, Grroom , Pretorius and when it comes to reading of the game Hougaard is as bad as a blind donkey would be.

One positive is that he managed a whole 40 minutes without 1 bounce pass.

Dave
Wha about all the aimless kicks that purely represnted possession turnovers to benefit the All Blacks. Frankly - he is not the brightest scrummie around.

His box kicks were fine and obviously executed under instruction. That's what Meyer wants him to do. They were executed well but were aimless but it's the Meyer way.
