He was commentating on Skye Sports and said that Meyer make allot of substitutions which was a bad idea and may have contributed to loss of momentum at crucial stages.
Instead of bringing on a new player ever 5-10 minutes- he make mass changes at once.
Meyer often subs both props at the same time- and he empties his bench with lots of players at once.

He isn't quite as bad a Peter, but at times he can make knee jerk reactions. Personlly I would have made wholesale changes very soon in the game, unloading the entire bench. That's how many scrubs were playing that day. Most of the time Meyer's subbing is fine, b ut Jake was the master of using his hench, even with very little quality available.

Not the only problem with Meyer - his squad and consequently his team selection based on reputation of players with zero regard to performance is his biggest deficiency. He should have been warned that disrupting the midfield combination of De Allende and Kriel did not work in the Durban test against Argentina - but he persisted with that change on Saturday.
He picked Alberts - who did not have a single reasonable game in 14 months (some would say in three years) at 7 because somebody has to off-set Matfield's deficiency as a lock - and then found that Alberts could not play because of another injury. Thzt forced him to start with Du Toit - who gad only 40 minutes on CC level and 15 minutes on test level game time since his return from injury. However, the end result was that Du Toit had to take over the lock function that Matfield constantly fails in and the functions of a loosie,
Meyer's selections is at best a joke and that is a fact.
