Surely this should be expunged because his guilt has allready been predetermined. What type of due process is this?

I think at the hearing he can say : I'm guilty but have had a good record . This factors into the length of a suspension - if they are considering one.

I think they should cite the ref for not calling a card on Horne. That was just a poorly disguised punch to Fransie's face. Beale of course did a magnificent Hollywood when he was tackled. It was a late tackle and should have been a penalty, perhaps a yellow. Stupid of Fransie but the guys had to front up against that deliberate intimidation....the Waratahs are a lousy bunch.

I did not watch the rugby yesterday - but I think that Steyn's tackling is not up to standard, since -
* he misses a far too high percentage of tackles he attempted; and* players beat him with speed.
The question arises - are the Butch James type of dangerous tackles now being taken over by Steyn to mask his deficiency in the relevant regard? Hope not - it is a dangerous way to go - especially of it alerts the referees to watch out for his tackling like was the case of James.
Hakwa is correct - Steyn can plead guilty and pleads for leniency on the grounds of good previous conduct and then hope for the best.
For the team sake I hope he gets an after match yellow card and not a red card - since a red card could mean a two to three week ban. Problem with that would be that if he gets a yellow card in the next match and he is carrying an after match yellow - it is immediately converted to a red card.
Be it as it may the legal principle of being assumed innocent until proven otherwise - is not applicable here and expunging is not at play here. Steyn must go through the process and hope for the best.
What really surprised me is that A bit of what I saw of the rugby entailed a thuggish tackle by Retallick on Potgieter in the Bulls game. Wonder why he was not cited.

I just reacted to the newspaper report and to the tackle history of Steyn - as well as what I saw from previous matches he played in. Statistically he was on par with his previous performances and I doubt very much whether there were any changes to his performances.
However, I am worried about the siting issue and the impact it can have on the team. Provided Jordaan is back and bearing in mind the little - other than goal kicks - that Steyn produced in recent matches and the reduction in possession losses and penalties he regularly produced - it is likely that there will b a positive improvement in the backline performances by the Sharks in the event of a ban.

I am NOT talking rubbish - I look at the real situation. If you think missing 30% of attempted tackles is acceptable then so be it. Keep on living on cloud 9 - but don't expect from others to join you and accept crazy ideas.
"Uninformed rubbish" is contradicted by reality and that reality relates to the fact that Stey n's tackling is way below par compared to what is expected from a back line player and so is his tendency to lose possession of the ball and giving away penalties.
No amount of flowery language on your part can hide those facts. If you really believe that Steyn's performances in those two critical elements is acceptable I assume you also believe the moon as made of green cheese.
