Bakkies may still be up for a good 60 minutes - we shall see against Wales. Matfiled never was as he is NOT a tight foward.
You dont pay that money for rubbish. These guys are NOT that dumb.We should clarify a lot of matters after the Welsh tests.
The hard truth is SA Rugby needs a huge wake up call. This is a professional game. Things like restructing the provinces, central contracting and player drain need to be addressed. The merit principle needs to be adopted unreservedly as well.
We must not go on with this amateurish approach.

How many games, in his entire career, have you seen Bakkies play more than 60 minutes?

That is not relevant. I am suggesting he could still be able to play for 60 minutes.One of the huge mistakes was to make wee matfield his Bok partner. The next daft decision was to leave matfiled on and take off the real lock Bakkies. HOwever one could argue Bakkies having done the work of two locks needed to be subbed - Bwhahahahahahahaha

 Uhmmm. I think it was more a matter of Bakkies being made Victor's Bok partner, and Bulls partner of that matter. Victor joined the Bulls and became a Bok a year earlier than Bakkies.

The biggest screw up that SARU made is on their foreign player selection policy. Frans came back to play for the boks as he never really got a look in while abroad. But when Meyer came in 2012, that all started to change. I can see why Frans is miffed. There are 10 foreign based players in the squad which is a ridiculous amount of players. Fransie might as well stayed put and had the best of both worlds. SARU got him to sign until 2015 which means that he is now stuck. 
Most players will stay put if they had the opportunity to play for the boks, but when you start selecting a 3rd of your squad from abroad, you will not have many good players left in SA as is evident in SA Super Rugby teams performance this year. I would say if a player haven't cracked the boks team by 26 - 27 then by all means they should go abroad. But now we have freaking Goosen at the age of 21 going off to Frans and will probably still get selected for the boks. 
Players can extend their careers up to the age 35 or on average 33. That means if they were to leave SA at 27, they would still have between 6 - 8 years of getting good money and if they left at 26, still a chance of playing for a foreign team. 
The conditioning of rugby players have been far better in recent years which means that their careers have been extended, regardless of the amount of games they play. 
My basic policy would be that I would only select foreign players if they have been part of the bok setup for the last 3 years and have consistently featured in test matches and are over the age of 27. 
The only foreign players that I would use from the current squad would be
Definates- Habana- Fourie du Preez 

Reserves- Louw- Botha- Juan Smith- Ruan Pienaar

The rest would simply not be included. I would also work on a plan not to be over reliant on them but rather look at filling this positions with new up and coming talent. 
SARU has simply not invested enough in our locks, wings and scrumhalves.
