According to network 24 Fransie wants to cone home.
The problem is likely that Montpellier will not renew his contract and he will have to find a new home with his star on the vane in Europe. I think they realize he is not a center or flyhalf - Montpellier in most recent games played him at full back and he only played when their first choice centers or flyhalfs are not available.
Th new SA contracting problems of SARU and the financially problematic franchises mean that the Franchises will end up with a very few high paid players - but the majority of their players will not earn huge salaries - at least not the type of salary Fransie would want to get. Since he would not be wanted in the midfield positions, They would nly look at him at full=back and that would limit his marketability at present.
Anyway - with the Yellow Vest protest etc - the question is that the food supply in France is under stress and that may negatively impact on Fransie's eating habits.
