From Sky Sport News, Stuart Barnes thought on
how fitting that this article should be copied and pasted twice, it will fit right into this forum which is nothing but a poite bashing snoreathon.
love how the majority of the saffas continue to ignore the Boks useless game, cant wit to see the escuses after ellis park when the All Blacks the Boks in their place once and for all,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, AGAIN!!!
as for stuart barnes, hes no stranger to controversy , he has a rep in the UK for making headline comments for the sake of headline comments.
IMO both barnes and the locals here know that deep down inside there is an inability to compete against the All Blacks on the feild, so they do their best to influence the referee with more and more BS topics like this.
ever wonder why nothing happned to peyper after the 2nd wallabies test??? yet the arguments about the All blacks getting the rub of the green were rife there too.
cry me a fucking river.
Pretty certain people here criticised Peyper after the Wellington test...
"love how the majority of the saffas continue to ignore the Boks useless game, cant wit to see the escuses after ellis park when the All Blacks the Boks in their place once and for all,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, AGAIN!!!"
Majority of Bok fans here are Meyer bashers so you're pretty wrong there.
Arrogance at its finest. You say these topics are BS yet you haven't made one credible counter argument to anything said against you Kiwi's, honestly I'm surprised .
If the boot was on the other foot, there would be plenty of Kiwi tears.
@shezza,
" Pretty certain people here criticised Peyper after the Wellington test..."
really???
heres the link on a very detailed thread regarding of peypers perfomance on that test -
www.sarugby.com/forum.cfm
despite a huge number of views and off hand comments, take notice of the zero counter arguments about any of the penalties and misses penalties i mentioned.
yet the usual balme the ref brigade would continue to spout their rubbish claims about peyper on other threads and pretend to never having read that one.
"Majority of Bok fans here are Meyer bashers so you're pretty wrong there."
worng, leading into the All Blacks test and after the wallabies win, there was only one saffa i can recall saying the Boks wouldnt win.
"Arrogance at its finest. You say these topics are BS yet you haven't made one credible counter argument to anything said against you Kiwi's, honestly I'm surprised ."
name the comment that needs to be addressed and i will respond accordingly, but dont give me somebodies opinons on the matters, cos like arseholes weve all got one.
so make sure u tell me what it is exactly that i should be counter arguing.
"If the boot was on the other foot, there would be plenty of Kiwi tears."
heres what saffas told me after the 2007 RWC when i bitched and moaned about barnes debacle of a game.
get the fuck over it, and i didnt carry on anywhere near as much as the average babay waay waay here on thi forum.
so for all those still crying about poite, take some of ur countrmens good advice please.
cant wait for ellis park so that we can sort this out once and for all.
@ntanga,
average kiwi wouldnt even know who stuart barnes is, a big nobody outside of the UK, but its not just kiwis who do know him that hate him, ask the wlesh, irish and scotts what they think of stuart barnes.
and hate is too storng a word, hes more like beeno, u ignore most of what he says cos theres zero credability.
u only need to look back as far as the lions tour to see some of his whack comments.
Stuart Barnes, who cares?
1st point - Rooinek agreed with, also pretty sure comments throughout the forum about that game regarding it mentioned the poor performance by Peyper. Sharkbok didn't really talk about that test and rather referred to Dunedin last year and Beeno aka StormingED I didn't bother reading cause he chats shit. Even though the lack of agreement with you on the thread from Saffa's wasn't shown doesn't mean we thought that Peyper reffed well.
2nd point - The usual Meyer bashers went straight towards Morne and Pienaar for the loss.
3rd point - Your agreement (And Moola's) with the first yellow card given to Bissie and eventual red card.
4th point - At the time I agreed with most All Black supporters about the 2007 RWC QF being reffed poorly and that the AB's deserves to win against France, but did not agree that they would've won the WC if otherwise.
Am I that Saffa that told you to get the fuck over it? No. Is anyone here the one who told you this? No. Treat the individual not the majority.
@ntanga: give your prediction on the upcoming Ellis park test (Boks v All Blacks) on the other thread.
We all get two predictions (last one 24 hours before kick off).
Time to stop this stupid snipping (at least for long enough to give a prediction).
How much will the Boks win by?
Also, give the actual points for each team if you want.
@ shezza,
"Even though the lack of agreement with you on the thread from Saffa's wasn't shown doesn't mean we thought that Peyper reffed well."
the week i posted that thread i was active on all threads across the board. i challenged every single person who questioned peypers performance with a link to that article and dared them to prove thier point, there were no takers there or anywhere, maybe every comment on the matter just happned to be in every single saffas blindspot???
but hey if u think that peyper unfairly ruled in favour of the All Blacks, heres ur chance to prove me wrong like nobody else from SA did.
"3rd point - Your agreement (And Moola's) with the first yellow card given to Bissie and eventual red card."
copy paste my comment where i said the first yellow card wasnt bullshit???
i questioned it once after watching once and while on the piss, and the only thing i questioned was the offisde.
once mikey made some points on the matter and i rewatched it, i said then and every other tiem since that the first yellow card was harsh.
the 2nd yellow card i do happen to agree with, u cant strike somebody in the throat with ur elbow and thats what happened.
but like i also said a number of times, given that the first yellow was BS, i wouldnt have had any problems if bizzys 2nd incident was ignored, that way it would have balanced the ledger.
so get ur facts staright, cos anyone here whose read my comments could have told u this, prob didnt read it though, cos ive been commenting plenty on the number of BS posts on thamatter, i meand over half the diiferent threads here is on the smae shit, its why im getting so antsy over the matter.
"Am I that Saffa that told you to get the fuck over it? No. Is anyone here the one who told you this? No. Treat the individual not the majority."
good point, except that i did get over it, obviously supporting the All blacks helps as like with the rest of our history, we continued to win the vast majority of everything between 2007-2009.
Bok fans cant rely on the Boks to deliver them the same level of comfort, so i guess starting facebook pages and making up articles about aussie media and quoting NZ hating english rugger heads is really all u got.
personally if the Boks were all that and i was a Bok supporter, i would just rely on them to even out the score, not surprised one bit to see this boat with no passengers.
IMO both barnes and the locals here know that deep down inside there is an inability to compete against the All Blacks on the feild,
Now that did not work out very well during the EOYT. Not that I shout for the poms under any circumstance.
Stuart Barnes? Never heard of him or her!
Well said Mr Stuart Barnes - you echo my thoughts exactly. Why are nz being so consistently favoured by refs. Lets get to the bottom of this problem. The world is at last waking up!! Man something is very very fishy here.
So thumbs up to Stuart Barnes and John Reason. The rugby world is at last waking up to what Beeno has been saying for years.
I call on all kiwis to repent and come clean. Its the right thing to do.
Stuart Barnes is entitled to his opinion and he is paid to provide one.
Poite had a poor game, we all agree on that.
We should all agree that Bismarck didn't deserve a Red Card.
I can't see any reason why Stuart Barnes should be hated in NZ ? Maybe the person who said that confused him with Wayne Barnes ? That said, the latter was actually just doing his job and doing it correctly ie reffing a match properly, something we are all saying that Romain Poite failed to do. So it seems Ref's are damned if they do, damned if they don't.
Stuart Barnes is not hated everywhere in the UK. That is also an untruth. Anyone who is hated for expressing an opinion that differs from your own shows how pathetic you are really and, when it comes down to that pertaining to sport, well. It's just plain sad really.
But the thing is, he has a point. The more successful a team is, the more likely they are to get a 50/50 decision go their way in any sport and so they become more successful and harder to beat. The cycle continues and teams playing them get more and more frustrated. That seems to be the way of sport. Until one day, the house of cards collapses. Because you get a Ref brave enough to start to Penalise that team or the team gets old and starts to make mistakes etc. It's a strange phenomenon. Another thing we dealt with at length in Sports Psych !!
The one point he forgot to make though was, in his playing days with Bath, they were the most successful team in England and they cheated as much as any other team and got away with murder on the pitch. I have seen him move the ball closer to the posts, behind the Ref's back, to kick winning Penalties, myself !! So, they all get away with what they can.
