They had the measure of the Canes but for two individualistic opportunities by Lam the first of which involved pathetic one on one tackles. The Sharks set pieces were also bloody poor, not sure what happened to Thomas before the game and why Ox Nche ended up on the bench just before the start. The replacement tighthead is shit, the Sharks need to wake up to young Kumbarai they have acquired from WP. With string bean Andrews at lock the Sharks scrum is always going to be under pressure. Where is JJ vd Mecht? Their line outs were a mess as well, again what is the point of Andrews if he is not doing a job there or making the right calls. Fassi was again brilliant, what a prospect this lad is. Liked the touch of Boeta Chamberlain to set up the try by the props that was eventually reversed. Notshe was again very good as was Ruben v Heerden at lock. In the back Tambwe, Am and Nohamba were good. Disappointing showing by the Sharks in the end after looking so promising up to the point of the two soft tries. They came back but the damage had been done

Dave

I agree with you.   The two props they used are not up to standard and as for the line-outs - it was a total mess,   I am afraid that Andrews is at best useless and was wondering why Van der Mescht was not playing.

The early injuries of  Mapimpi amd Boeta Chamberlain were disasters.
