reaching the quarter-finals and for playing an amazing brand of rugby.......high tempo with an almost zero error rate. Unfortunately in a David and Goliath like battle the fairy tale ends. The Boks would be silly to follow the Scots by playing "me too" rugby, firstly it's not in their DNA and secondly if they did which I don't believe they will, it would be a disaster. The strategy should be simple, win the set pieces, monster their scrum and win their lineout ball....do that consistently enough and hey Presto, it's roll over red rover.

They say there should on average be a red card these quarters.Just hope its not the Boks trying to tackle these short Nips.

And if we lose because of the ref it'll be OK to throw your boot at the ref such as Boy Louw did after the third and final test against the the British Lions in 1938.

It is as you say. The Goats should run over them. Thrash them by at least 40 pts.

They have the "superior" pack ... apparently ... the bigger players ... a lot more experience ... and a history that goes back more than a hundred years. They have 10's of thousands of players to select from ... so surely, with all this, the Goats should walk this without much effort, right?

After-all ... they thumped them badly at their last meeting. What stops them from doing it again?

What do the Japs bring to the table?

They have nothing to lose. The odds are stacked against them. Their supporters are aware of the daunting task that lies ahead ... however ... they are hopeful ... quietly confident ... and fiercely proud of their team.

I wish I had a country to be proud of like that.

The Japs have brought in a lot of physicality to their game ... and will undoubtedly adopt a "kamikaze" style of putting their bodies on the line. They will leave everything out there on the field and their people will bay for goats blood.  

They have superior speed ... handling ... and fitness. They are totally fearless. The tend to keep the ball in hand and hardly ever kick the ball away aimlessly ... unlike the over rated Fluff .

They have a better hooker ... a better 8th man ... a much better scrummy ... and two deadly wings. They also have a better captain and fetcher in Lappies and on top of this ... they are confident and have self belief. They dared to dream and it's brought them Irish and Scottish scalps. Why not add a goats head to the one they already have mounted on their wall?

I still have my Japanese jersey of 2015 and will be donning it this weekend.

.................. & apart from us japies (exc. the pitiful .goatsville brigade) the rest of the rugby fraternity will be cheering on the Japs. Normally I'd say that the Japs have a chance, but after the '15 debacle I can't see the Bokke being beaten by em on Sunday.

I'm expecting Pollard to play a major role and if I were the hapless Faf I'd be leaving the bulk of the kicking to him.
