Like wise Mike.
0/2 - disastrous start to the Superbru weekend.
At least my foxsport fantasy team isn't doing too badly. Read's early exit hurt me a bit but I at least I didn't have him chalked up as my capt.
Still, there's hope for the rest of the weekend.

I am also 0 from 2. The last few years the gap between the top and bottom teams in Super Rugby has gotten smaller and smaller. there are no certainties anymore.
What are your thoughts on the Bulls v Chiefs game? It is the most difficult one of the weekend to call, I went with Chiefs, just a stab in the dark though, I reckon they'll be pretty motivated after their slip last weekend, but i see the Bulls are still favourites. we shall see.

Howzit Blue ... I selected the Bulls to take it by 8.
The Chiefs have made quite a few changes and I reckon the Bulls with Matfield at the helm is a different animal.
They'll also probably play it tight like they did against the Sharks and we both know that the Chiefs don't have much of a set piece.
That's my 5c worth anyway.
Don't take my word for it. Remember I also pipped the Saders to beat the Canes as well as the Brumbies to slaughter the Rebels.
Didn't quite go according to plan.

Clean. I am still not convinced by what i have seen from the Bulls this year. They are starting to look a little more cohesive, but I can't shake the feeling that they lack the quality of players of years gone bye. B ut hey, if I am wrong, my team wins...its all good.

So what's your take on my boys?
Tell ya one thing ... the Lions have stressed me out these last few weekends but man alive, I now know what you must feel like supporting a winning team.
Just not used to it.

Funny enough - I thought the Lions could win last week - they fought back bravely.
As to the Bulls I have made a forecast of a win by 9 points - I do not rate the Chiefs tight 5 and they have travel and altitude problems as well.
The team I worry about most this weekend is the Sharks - I think they are going to lose. They really have some problems in the back line with Steyn thinking he is the only backline player in the team. The Waratahs will neutralize him with ease -leading to ball handovers and penalties. while Beale will do a Harris on him and run around him like he is not there.
The Sharks will also be neutralized in the line outs -- we have on line out jumper - and one assistant - the rest of the tight 5 will contribute nothing.

Wow Mike you have the sharks winning by 9 and you saying they may lose lol
The Waratahs are a very good team so i understand your concern.
Got both games wrong knew the Brumbies would battle but thought they's pull through due to them beating the Waratahs.
Had no idea the Saders are so bad this year. The Hurricanes can beat anyone on their day and then lose to the worst the next week.
I think the bulls will be too strong for the Chiefs.
Reds are just too classy to be beaten by a very average Stormers outfit.
The Sharks will outmuscle the Waratahs and win by a few.

Marty
I made a mistake by making my foreecast early - before the teams were announced. When I saw the teams - I lost my confidence completely. Alberts at lock - he cannot compete in line out play if they pay him.
I frankly do not rate Zeilinga as a flyhalf - to my mind Swiel would be a better and safer selection. I do not think that Steyn would do better than he did during the past four games and I keep on having bad dreams about last years game against the Brumbies in Durban lost by the Sharks. That loss was due in large part to Steyn and it may just be a repeat.

No Folau for the Waratahs. That takes away majority of there line breaking ability and try scoring capacity. Sharks should win. The Waratahs are a good team, but if the Sharks subdue there forwards and keep them on the back foot they should win. I cant see it being a high try scoring game.
