My, these youngsters are impressive scrummagers...one can see amazing growth of young rugby in this small country. It augurs well for rugby growth. Japan and Georgia are becoming 2 new kids in town.

Georgia on all levels of rugby has seriously good scrummaging as part of their game. Many of their top props play professional rugby in especially France.
Ja Mike I do know that, not only front row players (because wrestling is their national sport) but good loose forwards and locks , like Mamuka Gorgodze in his younger days...
The perfect side of the world would be Georgian forwards combined with Japan's backline...can you imagine that...that would be a super side.
and guys and dolls if you ever get the opportunity, do a trip to Georgia...a real secret gem. One of the most stunningly beautiful countries in the world, combined with the tastiest food you just can't imagine...with the friendliest most hospitable folk in the world and all for an embarrassing modest price...incidentally SA's are very welcome there...it's very easy to immigrate there...absolute freedom and space and very safe.

I was rather surprised that Georgia has some of the oldest cities in Europe dating from the BC period - namely through being Greek trading centers An impressive history as well dating to the Georgian kingdom under the Bargrations who in the Catherine the Great time became part of the Russian nobility and in the Napoleontic Wars was one of the foremost Russian generals under Kutuzov was Prince Piotr Bargration.

That was always the problem in the past with Lelos rugby, Shezza but eversince billionaire Ivanishvili poured really massive funding into the sport it is taking off. Georgia should replace Italy in 6N, instead of dominating ENC...then we see growth or alternatively extend it to 7 Nations. Georgia deserve it.
And Mike yes it has very ancient history...and you would be blown away by this country and everybody can afford it...even a pensioner like yourself. Ofcourse it does not suit the new money types who don't have class who want to stay in Radison plastic accommodation if you understand what I mean. But good Georgian hotels are very pleasant and the food is very tasty.
The younger generation all speak English (2nd language) the older speak Russian as second.
A real top class meal (not in international hotels) 4 to 5 courses for 4 people (you order a course and share, that's the way they do it) cost approx. $30...it's quite ridiculous and young people can spend 10 days in Georgia for only $300 and that includes tasty food and acceptable lodging.
