Snark, Carlsberg isn't half bad, but the Vikings don't have a patch on the Dutch and the Belgians when it comes to beer. Belgium must be the most civilized country in the world, with the Netherlands a close second!

Staropramen is a great one for the braai but nothing beats pulled Guinness from the club bar after a game in January.

I enjoy a cold Windhoek draft after a hot day in the garden. I like to place my beer mug in the freezer till it ices over before pouring the brew in.
Rum is definitely not for me. It stinks. Brandy is ok but not something I'll go out and buy. I enjoy a whiskey with Perrier water and a nice white wine is always welcome.
Dutch beer: Amstel, Heineken and Oranjeboom.
Belgium: Stella Artois, Davel and a beer from a monastery somewhere in the mountains...you can only buy it from the monks after vowing to share it freely and never selling any.
