This side could challenge all the way but clueless Meyer will not select as such.

Pietersen is useless and slow - and not a wings backside anymore.  Du Preez is a serious gamble - but Pienaar is even worse.  Coenie is another gamble - he has potential - but his injury is not to be forgotten .   Matfield and Jean - only because of Meyer's madness in selecting those two and alternatives are not really available   

Louw at 6, surely. Schalk has never been a fetcher, and Kolisi is, at best, a marginal test player. PSDT's credentials as a 7 is still up in the air.

Alberts as a 7 is not up in the air - it is dead and buried already.  He is utterly useless and has been so for years.   I am open to Louw being at 6 instead of Burger - but he has been poor this year.

Malherbe will probably only manage 10 minutes before collapsing and be taken off injured.

Coenie isn't a tighthead ... not much of a loosehead either ... so I thought we'd be better off without a tighthead on the field.

As you all know Beast suffers from heart palpitations and is on chronic medication. Even though I would love to select a quota player to make all those at home happy I'm afraid I'm not prepared to risk it with this very ill man.

Not even as a replacement on the bench. 

Hopefully we can convince the ref to permit uncontested scrums.

4. Eben. 5 PSDT. 6 Flo is injured currently so it'll be rather risky to chalk him up.

Schalk is not the player he used to be and I wouldn't want to be held responsible for another neck injury.

Kolisi isn't an opensider or a test loose forward of any sort ... so I'd leave him to carry the luggage. It's an important function and he's better suited to it.

It's best we not have an opensider on the field. Less embarrassing moments for us to view on the highlights channel. 

7. We seem to have an issue here as well. Alberts would probably only manage 20 minutes if he takes it easy ... so instead of wasting ink on chalking him down I thought it best we save the ink and leave the blindside flank position open.

Besides we can always have PSDT filling in from time to time.

8 Vermeulen.

9 Sadly what we have here is a moron who has been checked for brain activity and sadly found wanting ... as well as an out of shape elderly man, shy of game time.

I thought it best we rather leave the 9 jersey back in the locker room. We can however select the quota to sit on the bench but under no circumstances is he to come on ... having never played a test match before and all.

We end up saving money on the washing powder and besides a lot less damage can be done it we do this.

10. Pat Lambie. 11 Bryan, 12. Damien, 13. Kriel,  14. Mvovo.

15. Sadly we have another issue here at full back. We have one who should never have been allowed anywhere near the Boks in Kirschner ... and another who loses the plot more than we can afford ... especially being our last line of defense. I thought it best we take on the opposition with out a full back.

Perhaps Lambie can run between 10 and 15 ... He would more than likely do a far better job than they anyway. 

We have many players returning from injury or rehabilitating. That is perhaps the biggest gamble with this squad, since I don't expect either Scotland or Samoa to be pushovers in the pool games.

The problem is not only the returnees - but their  lack of game time and the absolute certainty that players like Alberts and Matfield are not up to standard anyway.   Matfield effectively sabotage our Tight 5 and Alberts has been a flop for years now.  Meyer has selected most of the experienced players not based on performance, but purely on reputation.
Most of them has been very average and even poor in games over the past year and I am afraid they may lose against Scotland and Samoa, which is a serious possibility, taking into account the Springboks  atrocious performance record over the past year.
       

 Don't rate Louw at 6 at all....never been a fetcher too big for the role much like Schalk. Am a big Kolisi fan so give me him over Louw or Schalk anyday.
As for PSDT at 7 well he is a far better player than Alberts so the call is an easy one. I can't remember when last Alberts, Louw, Matfield or Jean were good at test level. None would smell my starting side and some would make my bench given the limitations of the poor squad selected.

 You should thank Heyneke Meyer for assisting you with the team selection. Even though you still don't have the combinations right, this team would probably still beat the bunch of clowns you selected in that other thread by about 30 - 40.

 Thank Meyer for what - Trooth Fairy?  For picking a squad that would be an embarrassment at the WC with a long list of has-beens and never-has-beens in the mix?    Unfortunately the clowns are all in Meyer's squad - - the useless Alberts, Steyn, Matfield and the questionable Jean de Villiers, Fourie du Preez, JP Pietersen, just to name a few.   The clueless ones are the coach and all his puppets on this site.  

Mike we are talking about the Troof here...the guy knows about as much about rugby as my newly aquired pup...evidenced in the idiots support of Meyer....the coach who has won 5 of his last 13 major tests and taken us to 5 in the rankings. Go figure 
Who is he anyway....do you recall a noteworthy post from the clown?

 He has the normal useless monkeys in his team - Victor and Alberts - plus players who has not had a decent game for a year now - De Villiers and Du Preez.  Just another case of having the hospital ward on standby and destroying the team completely.  
That team will lose against Scotland and Samoa I am afraid and we may struggle to get to the quarters with that lot of has-beens and under-performers.  
In any event De Villiers will not be available for the first match on 18 September 2015 - and if he performs anything like he did in the games he played in this year - it would be hugely problematic to play him as a starter in any game.   
My prediction is that Du Preez will really be the big failure in the tournament, but will face massive competition from Matfield, Alberts, Pienaar, Morne and De Villiers in the failure stakes.  Reputation caused their selection and that is a dead loss without performance.         

Your team which is Meyers team will not make it past the quarters for it does not come close to representing the best 15 in the country.
Habana, Jean, du Preez, Beast, Jannie, Matfield, Louw and Alberts...that's 8 of the 15 that sell us short and why Meyer keeps failing.
When will you learn Moz....why are you so blind....why is it you keep ignoring the current state of affairs.
Here is a reminder.....Meyer has won only 5 of his past 13 tests against the major sides....3 of those victories being against the Argies. In the process the esteemed Meyer took us from 2nd to 5th in the rankings....what part of this current record are you finding favour with.....let me guess if these numbers were stacking up in business would you still be backing the CEO?

 Mozart is the one who accuse people of not coming up with any new ideas in two years.   That is a far cry from the fact that he himself has not come up with anything new for 8 years.  The only regular in his case is his constant admiration for the heroes of 8 years ago and his inability to move forward from there.
Whenever a player flopped - the excuse always is - but eh was good in the 2007 WC - nothing about his present performances.
