I know this is in the wrong section, but so be it. I noticed from previous discussions that quite a few guys here like old school rock, and seeing as though we get so few quality bands all the way down South, I figured I'd spread the word, Guns n Roses are coming to SA on 29 November. FNB stadium. Line up includes Axel Rose and Slash. Use it, don't use it.

BlueBok ... they have a few good tracks ... but ... some of their stuff can cause serious brain damage ... much like Metallica.

I'm convinced that BeanDip's been exposed to too much GnR.

Look at him ... he's a blubbering idiot.

Not a huge fan, but like CC says, some good tracks, but old school rockers are thinning out a bit. A live performance is something more than just the music... they're coming to Cape Town too.

Not GnR or an old band but a new band with an old sound ie Led Zeppelin.

Blue go get yourself some tickets ... better than watching the Goats! I saw them In London last year with Axel and slash. They were great value for the money.

We also went to Bob Dylan .. complete waste of money, he is 20 years past his sell by date.

Likewise the Beach Boys who I saw in concert last year. But Frankie Valli at eighty plus is still good value....his squeek is the same as always.

Saw Springsteen last year ,at 68 the guy is a revelation ,his performance here in 2017 was every bit as good as in the 80s.

Stiff little Finger are still pretty damn good too,an Irish band that didnt sell out !

Speaking of bands Tool are releasing a new album this year and a tour to follow apparently. Been 10 years since their last one so hopefully they tour outside of America

Hey Crustie, from a musical point of view Tool are very good. Pretty technical for the hard rock/metal genre. I do however find them a little difficult to listen to, because often technical does not equal easy listening. That said, the song is Vicarious is brilliant!

Vicarious is my favorite as well followed by Cold and Ugly and Fourty Six and two and another 40 or so that are just class.

I can listen to them for hours, throw in some system of a down/Slipknot/rage against the machine/audioslave/the clash and a bunch of kiwi bands like the skeptics/the dudes/ the Chills/Straightjacket fits and a few mates in a Bangkok bar and you have the perfect night

My all time favorite is Queen, but Dis turbed isn't half bad. Offspring, Aerosmith not too shabby either.  Tool...sounds OK, will check it out.
