Go well Odwa . . .

Odwa Ndungane will be retiring from rugby at the end of the season after playing 250 games for the Sharks in Currie Cup and Super Rugby competitions as well as 9 caps for the Springboks.

Probably not quite quick enough to be an international winger, Odwa made up for it with his reliability and his excellent all round ball skills. That try he scored against the Crusaders back in 2007 to win the game in the dying seconds remains one of my favourite tries ever.

Odwa Ndungane is one of the unsung heroes of Sharks rugby and I wish him all the best in his retirement.

He could have perhaps played at 15 for more of his career. 
He is/was a skilful thinking player. His lack of outright pace would have been less of an issue- at 15. 

 Good solid player. Not the brightest star, but a player you could bank on, not to let a team down. His boet wasn't half shabby either. Best of luck to him going forward. Maybe he can replace Willemse in the SS studio.

End of an Era really. Wish him all the best for the future.
