You lucky bugger Bluebok!!
Fantastic mate, I wish I was there but it would be great if you would post something after the game describing the atmosphere. Wardad did this for a game he went to on Oz & it added a lot it gave us all a feel for the game. You can't get that watching it streaming on the internet

Unfortunately, watching the Haka in hostile territory is a bit of a letdown. You can guarantee the SA broadcasters will not have the directional microphones turned up! Couple that with the 65,000 crowd chanting Ole, Ole, Ole and it looks like the ABs are miming it!Still, one of my dreams to see a test at Ellis Park......one day maybe....

Bluebok
Hopeyou enjoy the game and is not disappointed at the end.

Ellis Park is not really the top stadium in Johannesburg. It is in a rundown part of town and I am not sure why they play there. Soweto has a better stadium and Soccer City is also better. However, Ellis Park was the main stadium for decades - so that may be the better one for traditionalists.
The most wonderful stadium in SA remains Newlands. Definitely the most scenic stadium in the world with Devil's Peak and T able Mountain behind the stadium. However, there is a move afoot to close it down and move Rugby to the new Green Point stadium built for the 201 Soccer World Cup. The City Council of Cape Town is putting serious pressure on SARU to move there and the license to play rugby at Newlands may even be withdrawn. It would be a huge pity if that happens.

The new stadiums are definitely very attractive and clean but there's just something about the famous old rugby grounds and holding atmosphere, they just have character.

lucky dude.
Na im gonna go for a bok win by 3.
04 Oct 2014, 08:13#10
Yeah im sure ppl were predicting Boks by 3 last year too. Boks by 3 implies a very different scoreline then usual. Nz are simpl. The better team right now. Im picking Nz by 7, hv fun at the game!

Enjoy the game BB...it's a game that must be won...I'm not a lover of Ellis but a win always over rides this.
I really believe we can win.

Well that was awesome! No a big surprise given that we won, but what a game to watch live! Kudos to the AB'S for giving it everything even though they had the Championship wrapped up. They really never give up. Haka was awesome, but as predicted, we could not hear anything over the ole's. Ab's, next year when you come to the republic we'll be playing you for the title.
Bluebok out!
