....face it, to limit the Saders to one try with all that ball, takes some doing. The trouble is that the Saders had all that ball.....courtesy of aimless Bools kicking, lost set pieces and, critically, ball lost on the run.
The power charge by guys like Jacques Potgieter and Greyling led to turnovers. When will they learn it's not power that breaks down professional defences, it's passing.
Lots of concerns for the Boks after this. Kirchner is a lucky packet. None of the centres looked up to it, despite Wynand's late try. At least he was in the game....was JJ even playing?
But the biggest concerns have to center on Hougaard who had a mare at scrummie....and Morne. It's hard to tell how much Steyn was effected by being effectively knocked out....you could see some of the after effects as he booted into the ground. But he never shook it off.
And in the pack Greyling, poor Werner Kruger, Chili and Juandre looked out muscled. Flip Flop was inaccurate and a penalty machine. And Jacque Potgieter is just dumb muscle. Oddly enough Spies was one of the better Bools.
Meyer will see the replay of this later this year, if he continues to use the Bools for the core of his team.
