It may be good news to you - it definitely is a disaster for the team.  The man is useless in defense and attack and is a poor passer of balls as well - thick as a plank.  At least Viljoen is a thinking player - which nobody can accuse De Jongh of.
Can you remember the disaster De Jongh was in all tests played in 2012 and since an d his poor defensive stats in Super Rugby? 

No the disaster for the team was the guy who made 1 in 5 tackles attempted yesterday.

 In the Crusader game he made 7 tackles missing one and this year he scored more tries and had more try assists than De Jongh scored in three years in Super  Rugby.   But this is about the disastrous De Jongh you have been trying to convince us fo r years that he is a center.

I agree de Jongh has no real upside anymore, but I think in the short term he may provide some leadership to a defence that has been routed 3 games in a row. We will just have to disagree on Viljoen....I can't see much upside there either.

We will see on Saturday whether De Jongh causes any improvement in performance.   I think not - Aso will just run over De Jongh as if he is not there.

 De Jongh was a waste of time since day one. Perhaps a long rest may have invigorated him a la Federer but I will be surprised.

Juan de Jongh is a gutsy and underrated player. Not saying he'd be my pick for the Boks but he's a lot better than Baboon-ou and ou Maaik make him out to be.
Bok #13 should be out of Lukhanyo Am (my pick) and Lionel Mapoe.

Wee Dejong lacks:
1. Passing Skills2. Play making skills3. Size

What he does have is 1. a good step 2. speed 3. solid finisher.

I temporarily changed my Avatar to reflect a pic of Paul Jordaan - would just want to compare a pic of Juan de Jongh to see who out muscles who between those 2    My money is on Jordaan in this case.   In any event a faster and physically stronger player than De Jongh,

 Don't know CC - I was just doing the change in avatar as a joke to get the mickey out of the De Jongh admirers on this site.   The pic was in fact reflected on this site so I could not help it - had to use it. 
My point is Jordaan is a much better performer in rugby than De Jongh and is really missed by the Sharks.   In the meantime  I really am waiting for some to come up with something before I change my avatar again.

In a state of desperation De Jongh has to be regarded as an improvement.....not a great improvement but in the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king.

That little chappie with the bra has pumped up his thighs so much I'm surprised there is space for one to pass the other....but he still has no shoulders, which I suppose is why he can't tackle.

If Jordaan can't tackle - what of De Jongh whose tackling stats were horrible.   When Jordaan had a missed tackle ratio of 6% in 2013 De Jongh" s MTR was 23% - low for him for his stats are normally in the late 20 or 30%  

If I had to choose between de Jongh and Jordaan for a crucial tackle....say bringing down Reid in a Super Rugby semi final to prevent a try, I'd pick de Jongh every time.

 And you will be wrong every time because single incidents are not career-defining and De Jongh has a habit of ducking out of crucial tackles - the latter happening quite frequently.  

I have a second incident for you ....Robbie Fruean ran right over the poor tyke twice in one game.....best forget about this one.

 Two incidents in four years - not a convincing argument at all.   Would not indicate how many times the same happened to  De Jongh - but it was definitely be in excess of 5 times more.

 Mozart must be bitterly disappointment - De Jongh is not in the starting line-up, nor on the bench in the match on Friday.   Still a hopeless case of a hopeless center.
However, the team is so weak - they will lose by a wider margin than against the other two NZ teams.  
And Viljoen will be blamed for the loss.

Talk about making excuses before the fact.....I just hope this slow, lumbering chap Viljoen can line up a few forwards. We all know a nippy back is going to leave him for dead.

 de Jong could be on his way to the mighy Wasps if reports here are to be believed. Also saw a snippet about Jantjies being hunted by both Worcester and Sale however the Lions have refused to release him early without somebody buying out his contract.

Wasps must be seriously desperate to even consider offering De Jongh a contract.   However, I hope he does get that contract since he would for the Stormers be no real loss and not really a gain for Wasps.   

 Wasps have a small backline already with Gopperth, Cips, Wade and Eastmond. Daley prob biggest of the lot when Beale leaves. Attacking jack in the boxes the lot of them but in defence, a bit of a sieve.

 Forgot about Leroux as well.

 With that backline not a "bit of a sieve" -  rather near to a total sieve when you add in De Jongh.    

De Jongh hunted by overseas clubs....seems the professionals aren't convinced by your arguments Mike.

He was for years ignored by overseas clubs and I was surprised by him now being under consideration by one of the weaker clubs - they must really be desperate looking for a bench player - because that is where he will end up.  
Fact is I was hoping it would happen and the Stormers will be rid of one of their main problems in the backline.
