Good News for the Stormers

Whilst watching the Lions - Sharks game tonight - I believe that the commentator remarked that Stokkies Hanekom - the live-wire no 13 of the Lions - is moving to Western Province next season. That indeed is good news - at last they will have a good 13 in the Stormers set up. With De Villiers, De Allende and Hanekom in the set up the Storrners doest not need to play Mr "Dead-Backline Defensive Sieve" De Jongh in future. Things will in such an event take a turn for the better for the Stormers. Another piece of news is that Pieter-Steph du Toit's contract with the Sharks is expiring this year and that both the Bulls and the Stormers have put out feelers to enter into a multi-million Rand contract with him. My own feeling is that it may prefer to move to the Cape - in view of his family connections there - it obviously depends which of the franchises are making the best offer for him - quietly hope it is the Sharks, but a move to the Bulls will be championed by Meyer in view of his insistence on Bulls contracs before he selects players.

As for Du Toit I posted an article on that and asked Steph to consider how it would be to be playing lock with the future of lock play - Etzebeth I am a bit concerned that Meyer even mentions De Jongh. Hope they try De Jongh on the wing for the Stormers but cant see that happening. Get rid of Allistair - he is not the man to take us forward.
