How did Morne's transfer to Brive backfired? Did they find out he is not worth the money they were going to pay for him?
Meyer would try and strip the bulls from the players he was acquainted with and formed the bulk of his initial selections.
It did not backfire in the true sense but it could as it appears MS has second thoughts and wants to come back under his pet mentor...if HM is willing to pay the fine to Brive to bail him out, which would not surprise.

"Steyn has been at Stade Francais since 2013 and was all set to join Brive but the announcement that Heyneke Meyer will be coaching the Paris club on a two-year deal and it seems that he has been trying to convince Steyn to stick around in the French capital.
This would mean though that the club would have to pay a fine to Brive
"Everyone is very excited for him [Heyneke Meyer] to come, especially me even though I'm probably going to Brive but I am very excited for him to come and make some differences at the club because I think they will do well with him and he will make some good changes.
