I actually think Meyer is a better coach than Coetzee, that's how bad this guy is going to be

The players we had on the field were easily good enough to be the better team, but one has to question our Captain and our Coach. Take NZ for example, they had a rubbish first half, but at half time they got their shart together, the leaders led, and they won the game. Scoreline at the end was a bit flattering, but the mental edge was clear to see.

Have to disagree ....on paper this was a poor team, especially in the backline.

Exactly Saff, it was as though they had no plan...or maybe they did, and it failed....and there was no plan B.
As for what percentage of fault is to be allocated to whom. it is hard to allocate blame, but when a team lacks organisation, it is the job of the captain to sort it out. Strauss did not do that. However, the one thing that nobody has really commented on was our atrocious handling over all. We spilled possession again and again! I saw glimpses of the Strauli era on Saturday!
I guess the one slight glimmer of hope, is that all the sides from the South looked very rusty. Lets face it, two weeks is not enough time for a team to gel. Especially when guys like Louw and Vermeulen only arrived a couple of days before the test. However, that said, Louw and Vermeulen have both been average all year, and if I were coach I would've started with Kriel, Whitely, and Jantjes just for continuity sake.

Bite the bullet ,hire Deans .Although he may have trouble learning your 3 part anthem alongside the other 2 in his head .Teleprompter ! Do I have to solve all your problems for you ? Next up we tackle endemic corruption using some string a paper cup and a thermo-nuclear device .

Hypothesis: there was no gameplan.
The lack of gameplan did not prevent the SA team from coming back at half time with a draw. To face a one man down Ireland squad.
Which is a configuration that professional players should be able to deal without the help of a specific gameplan hand made by their coach.
Except that the SA team was weighted down by half the players showing they do not have a professional level.
Pointless to discuss any kind of strategy when players cant catch a pass, cant collect a long kick, cant pick up a ball.

well, now let us see.First we have Stick as back line coach, who said that he is there to learn, but he can bring the discipline of the 7-Boks to the team ...DUH!!!. Then we have dear old Alister who was the chief back line coach ... A coach who Jake White rated as poor and brought in Eddie Jones to assist with the back line coaching.So, the end result should not be such a surprise.
