Sadly there might be quota selections, but there need not be given we have merit selections in JP, Habana, Rhule, Mapoe, Mvovo, Volmink, Kolbe, Howard Mnisi, Jantjies, Beast, Chiliboy, Ntumbeni, Nkanyane, Kolisi and Mtembu to name but some.
Saffex, that is 16 players you mentioned above.
If the squad contains 26 players, this only leaves 10 more places for selections.
How are you going to include the other 90 or so, Springbok candidates that you have mentioned over the last 6 weeks or so?
Surely being a Springbok is making the 26 man squad, and then getting on the match day squad to be capped?
A candidate is someone that has a realistic chance of completing this goal?
Not every new Tom, Dick and Harry to turn up from Junior level, and Vodacom.
This is a perfect example of how you spout off many young players that should be in the Springbok squad, and then later deny that they are potential Springboks. You will cover your shit in candy wrapping saying that you identified them as potential good players, but they just did not cut it.
By then you have found a new young player to replace them in your top 1000 list.
What ever happened to Sithole who you said should replace Habana?
Lets just drop anyone over the age of 27 years old and replace them with some of your potential 1000 Springboks. (Those that when get a chance can't even hack it at SuperXV level).

He strangely missed out on the 2012 Baby Bok squad given the 1.98m and 125kg lad could play 7 and lock"
