Set up with Machenaud on his inside providing Rolls Royce protection against a relegation candidate team in Bayonne, Goosen produced a nightmare performance. For large portions of the game his team mates ignored him, but when he was called into service he bungled repeatedly.
Minute 4.00 his tactical kick is straight into touch.
Minute 10.00 he pops good ball straight to Bayonne who counter.
Minute 19.00 He kicks a penalty dead, you know the act that led to Morne being axed.
Minute 23 Machenaud seems to be taking the penalties now.
Minute 33.00 Goosen completely misses the ball in a great attacking position
Minute 40 Machenaud breaks Goosen trots behind him
Minute 43.00 Goosen falls without bring tackled.
Minute 46.20 another wasted Goosen kick Minute 51.00  Goosen penalized for not rolling away...he couldn't break free.

Minute 61.20 Goosen throws the ball into a supporting forward's head.
Minute 64.00 tries to step in open field, easily tackled
Minute 67.00 Gets a yellow for an inexcusable collar tackle.

The impression is of a very slight man, completely ineffective in contact. The Racing formations where he basically defended at 13 protected him but he made the usual ineffective tackles. For much of the game he seemed to be trotting away from the action.
It is truly stunning that so many fans think this weed of a man can be a successful international flyhalf.

Did you watch the game?   I watched it and although Goosen made one clear mistake in kicking the ball directly into touch - the rest of the game was fine and the mistakes listed by Mozart was largely his standard distortions about what in fact happened.
As to his prejudiced statement of trotting away from action is belied by the fact that during the game Goosen made 8 tackles missing none.   He made 13 passes of the ball and carried the ball 6 times.   So the last statement of the local village idiot as well.
Machenaud always do the goal kicking for Racing when Carter is not playing - it always is the case and Mozart seems is the normal tommyrot he specializes in.
Another totally distorted set of rubbish the Mozart dolt specializes in.

Springbok and former Bulls pivot Morne Steyn was in fine form as he finished with a 14-point haul for Stade Français in their 25-19 win over Lyon in their Top 14 clash at Stade Jean Bouin in Paris at the weekend.

Steyn kicked four penalties and a conversion and was joined in Stade's starting line-up by ex-Bulls teammate Jono Ross (No 8), Springbok and former Sharks loose forward Willem Alberts and ex-Lions and Springbok prop Heinke van der Merwe.

Elsewhere, another Steyn, former Sharks and Springboks utility back Francois, kicked three penalties to help Montpellier to a narrow 12-11 victory over La Rochelle at the Altrad Stadium.

There is no truth in the man.
He is a liar and has been for a long time now.
It comes natural to him.

Kicking penalties without the abilities to do anything else cause the playing of what is generally known as Jake-balling - not rugby.   Both Steyns were poor an all other aspects of the games in question.
Fat Fransie kicked the ball - mostly aimlessly 11 times and passed the ball 4 times thus destroying the Montpellier backline comprehensively.
Morne Steyn was equally poor - although he passed the ball more often - but as per normal he had a missed tackle ratio 25%.
This type of thing is a classic.   Stade Francais played one of the poorest sides in Top 14 and the story is the same - questionable performance against weak opposition.

Its all there to see at exactly the time stamps provided....he made one mistake? Hahaha how about the penalty kicked dead, how about the pass into his forward's face, how about the chip kick directly into touch. The man was totally ineffective....he never did one thing all game that helped his team......not one. All his kicks were at best ordinary, at worst calamitous. He made a few clinging tackles usually with help. His passes were non probing unless you count getting the ball in the face as probing. He never beat a tackle in 6 runs. He looked nervous and uncertain......and the opponent was Bayonne, bottom team in the league!

And then he puts the team at risk against Bayonne by getting himself carded with the game in the balance! He can count himself lucky that Racing put the match away with an interception try totally against the run of play. This guy is too much of a nervous Nelly to ever be a reliable international....a pipe dream there is no substance to him.

It is so easy to get out of an argument. by the look of things. When you are backed into a corner by the facts you just start hammering on Morne  and Frans Steyn........... Easy peasy.

Or when you literally get pointed to an incident like the brilliant Louw offload against NZ, pretend it never happened.

Mozart's interpretation on what happened on any field of play has been shown to be highly inaccurate depending on the player involved.   I watched the game and noted one poor direct into touch case - the rest of his comments are BS and of no real value.
What Ceradunce write is normal subservient BS.  Mozart is constantly ask for Fat Fransie to be the Springbok flyhalf and he was a miserable performance on Saturday and also reference is made to Morne Steyn, whom Mozart is constantly covering up for.

No Comrade. I just pointed out your normal MO. That's all their is to it.  This is not the first time that you had the opportunity to prove your point without any doubt and then failed to do so.  You have the time stamps and the link to the footage. Why don't you just use them both to prove that the time stamps are misleading,  instead of throwing around your normal immature attempts at personal insults?

Mike has had chance after chance to join in honest debate, but it seems he can't. This is a classic case, I point out numerous incidents, including two botched kicks and a yellow card which are not up for interpretation.....he comes back with "one botched kick to touch". The Oom desperately wants to be taken seriously, but refuses to be an honest observer.....and then resorts to petulance. How many times have we been down this road.

The classic debate was here for everyone t see.   I watched the match and referred to a poor kick that went out of touch.   However, I countered most of the other statements made by you and you can read the following to bely your false statement on Goosen:-
"As to his prejudiced statement of trotting away from action is belied by the fact that during the game Goosen made 8 tackles missing none.   He made 13 passes of the ball and carried the ball 6 times.   So the last statement of the local village idiot as well is a lie."
Nobody can debate with you anything about rugby because you make twisted statements and when it is contradicted you refuse to accept the contradictions.

You countered nothing and left out the yellow card and the penalty out in touch in goal. You ignored the handling errors and the total lack of an offensive contribution. But most importantly, if thats a succesful show at 10 lawd help us!

I stick to facts - not personal prejudice and that statement of yours was false and has been proven as false.
Lord help us if we have a fool like Fat Fransie as flyhalf.

Mozart's recordings are generally accurate, although of varying significance in my opinion. The one error is that the yellow card came in minute 76 for a ruck infringement, not for the collar high tackle at minute 67 (a different player was yellow carded at minute 67 for diving onto a player knees first, with the collar tackle occurring while Bayonne was playing the advantage for that incident).
The minute 10 kick ahead wasn't a bad attacking option and almost worked for Racing, but did end up in Bayonne's hands.
The minute 40 incident of the scrumhalf breaking and Goosen jogging behind? Bit of a nothing incident. I'm not sure Goosen could have gotten himself into a support position.
The glaring errors I can agree with: tactical kick straight into touch, penalty kicked dead, the minute 33 drop of a straightforward pass in a great attacking position, the minute 46 aimless kick from turnover ball with men on his outside against a fractured defense, the 61:07 incident where he passed the ball into a supporting player's head with a huge overlap on the outside, and the yellow card. The minute 43 incident where he fell over when a Bayonne player did nothing more than put a hand on his back was comical as well.
Not sure what people think this guy is going to bring to the table in test rugby at 10 with this kind of error rate against very average provincial opposition.

Haaaaaaaahahahahaaaa!! Usually the Romans leave their sandals behind on these global flights.
As for Moffie ... his hypocrisy has no limits.
With him it's "do as I say" ... not "do as I do".
There isn't anyone on this board that twists the facts quite like him.
I suppose he needs to cover up his ignorance somehow.

Well, his observations about the errors in Goosen's performance are far more accurate than Mike's, who claimed Goosen only made one error by kicking into touch on the full. There were kicking, handling and option taking errors.
The yellow card incident, probably mixed recollection signals between the two yellow cards. The Goosen high collar tackle was tied to a yellow card for Metro as it happened during the advantage that was allowed for that incident. Would be a bit silly to deliberately lie about something when you're being transparent enough to provide time stamps to the events.

Thanks for the correction Pakie, I noted the yellow on the match report on ESPN and assumed it was for the collar tackle. One can debate some of the incidents, but most importantly I cant find one single thing that Goosen did that added to his team's cause....not one great pass, not one defender beaten, no better than rote tackle, no long line kick, no penetrating tactical kick.....no sense of leadership.
